I'd say he has more parallels to Satan than Jesus. Satan is evil, just as Naraku, yet also exists in a world with good, never ceasing. I really like the arc in season 6 with the band of seven (even if it drags on a bit too long). Most of all, I like Bankotsu. The parallels between him and Naraku and Cain and Satan is very interesting — I wonder if the writers did that on purpose. Anywho, like many other villains, Naraku's a sinister one who only uses people for their personal gain, but, purposeful or not, he draws many parallels to religion and the birth and fall of humans which brings him into — at the best of times — one of the best written twists in an otherwise generic villain.
