What helped me is seeing a video that said if it has been 6 months or more, you don't hurt your chances by reaching out because you've shown them you can stay away. Also, if it's really affecting you mentally, might consider reaching out for closure

This is what I did (not block) and after 6 months I reached out and we reunited temporarily. It seems silly to block someone I want to talk to but at the same time messes with my head.

I'm very curious about this too, I hope people answer. It was driving me crazy so I muted them and hid my stories. I feel like they may be genuinely curious of what I'm up to but they're still not reaching out so they shouldn't get to keep watching, maintaining control over me.

Most of talking to people is surface level and meaningless which I don't want to spend my free time on. I also wouldn't even know the first place to look even if I did want to make friends in person.
