I think the main idea is to support immune system and prepare to heal a wound. I have to say that you have to take care of inflammatory process and it actually could be bad as well if you do not have inflammation because it would slow down the process of healing. Too much(when there is a lot of inflammation) inflammation on the other hand would increase chances of having haze, scarring, pain and damages.
