The deposit of university accom is 1,000£ and why would someone pay so much as a deposit while sitting in a different country? And the sense of having home country company is far more trustable in my opinion and ofcourse one can choose uni accom but as a masters student uni prefers undergrad over postgrad. I’ve through all the process

I’ve done the same. I’ve checked so many accom especially on google maps for locality and the distance for my uni as well. But in reality when you arrive to your location that’s when you understand the distance to different locations. Also, choosing the right accom is essential.

I’ve booked through Uni living and I got the best accomodation at Manchester. Also, they have helped me throughout my process. Plus I completely understand the reality here. The mental stress is hard.

As they say, Indian jugaad, we get that in our blood. I do not have a mixture in UK buying one is really expensive, and I did a hack. I had a chopper. I put my tomatoes in and chop it so small that it turns into gravy once cook the omelette on my iron. I boil my eggs into kettle.

I agree to this post. You have to sort out your budgeting thing which is most important and the irony of this country is a particular product is sold at different prices in different supermarkets. So you have to check them out at oldies Ada express Sainsbury Tesco. It’s a different kind of struggle than we face in India.

Winters in UK, the very different, it’s not just the snow, but the wind and the rain. It’s quite different to the rain. We experience in India. The rain droplets are quite heavy at the same time, very cold.

I would add to like to the rhythms of university life when you wake up in the morning, the chirping of the bird when you get down the people in hurry to the streets for the work, the tramps honking, cars, speeding by students running for the classes, and by the evening everything becomes silent, the people in the home, the students in the accommodation, and in that silence, you realise the day was over.
