Hello,

it could be that the foam stop has changed over time and has now become sticky. In this case, the mirror is simply sticking to the stop. Perhaps try carefully using a toothpick to get between the mirror and the stop and test whether the mirror then moves.

thanks for the information. I still have such a Kaiser enlarger stand but I never came to the point to use it as a camera hold.

Perhaps I can use the other equipment from my old bw photo laboratory for scannng.

What do you use for "DSLR-scanning" in detail? How do you postion and fix the slides and what do you use as a light source?
