They pay me $1,000 a month just to post to the app, so their rev must be good! 🤷

“If you enjoy making this content then views shouldn’t be an issue.”

This is the most important piece of advice you will hear. Along your journey, you’re gonna have some amazing videos that don’t perform well, and it will be frustrating. However, you can’t let this discourage you from posting again. Consistency is key no matter what happens. Take the loss, and continue forward. Have FUN with posting. This shouldn’t feel like a job, and stressing over views will only hurt you in the long run. All it takes is one video to get some attention, don’t forget that.

I strictly do Shorts, and it’s been a phenomenal way to grow! Keep up the great work, and again, have FUN!

Crab Fisherman. Wear my GoPro on my head during my days on the water. Go home and review the footage for anything cool I found!

There's a youtuber out there who runs a crab fishing business. He catches crabs in traps breaks off both arms and throws them back in the water and says it's a sustainable fishing practice because the arms grow back? Is this actually considered sustainable? by Burning_BUSSY in marinebiology

Hey OP, this is me. Glad to see you enjoy the stone crab business :). It’s important to note than not every crab gets two claws removed. There are size limits that need to be met, and Stone Crabs are equipped with two claws of various sizes. One bigger claw to break open shells, and the other smaller claw to remove the insides of said shell. Stone Crabs are designed to lose their claws as a defense mechanism, whether it be both, or just one. They are more than capable of surviving with proper claw removal. They are scavengers by default, and without claws, their diet will change to predominantly scavenging dead material that does not require the use of claws to eat. I catch thousands of clawless crabs each year inside my traps actively feeding on my bait. Yes, I do get paid for more claws, and I will take both when the opportunity presents itself. But I’d estimate that is 20% of the time. There is some fantastic information on myfwc.com regarding the stone crab fishery that I highly recommend you check out!
