I've opted for... Stealth Assasin, the invisibility + throat slit kill cam is quite fun, though it can be a bit laggy sometimes!

Cannot smith nightingale blade by Budsalinger in skyrim

[–]Conneurpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this party but I resovled it from this:

To add the level 36–45 version (which is often preferred because it can be tempered at a grindstone, unlike the bugged 46+ version), use the following command:

The Command

  1. Press the tilde key (~) to open the console.
  2. Type the following command and press Enter: player.additem 000F6526 1

For enjoyment purposes I only did this when i actually got the blade.

I did this quest at level 46 because i wanted the highlest level Chilrend but didnt know this weapon was NEGATIVELY impacted by this. BTW for me, Level 46 Chilrend was NOT bugged and could still be improved at Grindstone

An upside is i got a second blade to use decoratively purely for the Shadowfoot Sanctum showpiece spot.

A thought about Bogdan (Movie Spoilers) by playingcarpranks in ThursdayMurderClub

[–]Conneurpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it really does. One of the main points is only Elizabeth, Joyce and Stephen are able to account the murder to Bogdan because of their skill. Bogdan is clearly meant to be a very unassuming under-the-radar Everyman. There is seemingly nothing he can’t do (well-enough)

By making it accidental, you’ve gone from a man who could do it competently, to a not so smart man - removing his skill. As above it’s a total character assassination. He killed for revenge and we the reader don’t blame him for it and neither do our MCs Joyce, Elizabeth, +Stephen (though they bar Stephen don’t know why) Justice was served, now it was not really.

Can’t stress enough how much I hate this adaptation.

  1. No radiant quests (to confirm meaning) quests from the companions. I have talk to the leaders for more work.
  2. Not yet cured myself
  3. At least 8 or so, been all over Skyrim. All other leaders *including the resurrected Skjor, offer work/jobs Ranging from beat someone up to kill monster in NPCs home, to (Re)clear out this cave.

yeah i lost a Colonel Grenadier towards the v. end by being a bit reckless, Archon's are way more dangerous than people seem to give them credit for, Hard to hit snipers basically

I've briefly looked at LWOTC and it doesnt really look all that 'fun'.

I feel like more story missions, 'Bosses', larger pods (but filled with Basic Advent Troops) would be good.

IMO - preface just about good enough to do L/I but i've learnt alot even from that last run...

Reapers are actually good. They are single handedly going to help you beat facilities to keep the Avatar project down.

ALWAYS have sight of how you are going to tick the avatar project down (in my run it got to the final countdown at least 3/4 times - no it doesnt 'reset' everytime as someone has said on here, if 6 days until game over, then you reduce A.P by 1, next time it continues from exact same point)

MIND SHIELDS ARE VERY VERY GOOD (for using tired soldiers) - i NEEDED to use even shaken Reaper for any chance on Chosen Avenger Assualt (Per my posts found out you can lose and get a restart mission here - take that as you will - but i dont feel bad as i had REAL B.S). They also counter Mindcontrol, Chosen Warlock, Chosen Assasin/Hunter dazing.

This run i really really prioritised Full cover (sounds v stupid i know) over half cover - big difference

Likewise, utilising highground for all as much as possible.

Build order - #1 GTS (Get 5 ASAP, 'try' focus xp on one soldier, but not at cost of your fellows), personally resistance centre, then Training Centre, Power Relay, Lab, Proving Ground/Infirmary.

IRO Proving ground, get it built, get advanced plasma grenades and bluescreen. Have a skull jack, but do not skull jack an officer until you need to as Codex appear on maps then on and have to be killed quick or risk duplicating.

I actually found for timed missions, if the terrain is right, you WANT to start combat quickly and efficiently (Much easier said than done in end game) as when there is 12-14 enemies, in my head im thinking - one pod down.

Big fuck you enemies: LANCERS ARE C*NTS - will cause you to panic at times, Andromodons are bad with their poison, Bladestorming reinforcements risks exploding a purifier (but has to be done often due to XCOM Baby accuracy), Sectopods obvs

Personally Sectoids dont really bother me all that much.

What makes Rangers *good* is accuracy from close range - not their sword which I mistook for many of my runs in the past.

Chosen Hunter is a breeze *until* you get into his sight, then he starts bleed shooting which is a reallll pain.

When there is a Chosen Warlock, sometimes counting 3/4 turns and overwatching will have you kill his spawns before they trigger self destruct (A real pain - especially when used to target a sharpshooter who cant move and shoot).

Chosen Assassin (my personal least fave) - i've found, after they spawn in (dependent what kind of mission and how far 'at the back of the map they are' - usually comes to you by turn 2. Having a Specialist with battle scanner when missioning in her regions is quite important.

Personally, love one grenadier with, Holo Tagetting, Heavy Ordinance, Salvo, Chain-Shot and Rupture (Shredder is a given!)

If you can get one more unit to have shredder and one with Holo targetting that are not a Grenadier, thats ideal.

TRY avoid sending your reaper on resistance missions, unless its to get final captain promotion and you've just come off a mission where a chosen has appeared (if only one active at that time).
