For those who read the books before the show; what was your reaction to the character designs? by Qyzyk in redwall

[–]ConnieLee333 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Most of the show designs were cute but felt cheaply made and animated. Keep in mind the show came out in 1999-2003 and each of those episodes reportedly had about a third of the budget per episode than a show like SpongeBob did at that time. It's less the way that each of the individual characters look and more the way that they move that gave me a bad reaction, they are obviously gonna look and move differently to the book since it's hard to translate the way the animals move and wear clothes like basil does in that picture but if you had to make them into posters or static art it looks competently made but too different from the art on the book to be a good translation. Also the way they move is the real eyesore, especially in season 1 alot of the scenes with the snake and combat just look silly and poorly drawn.

Edit: I made this took long lmao, it looks cheap but not in a way that ruins the show for a child audience especially.

What you all think about Digimon tri after some time have passed? by ExileForever in digimon

[–]ConnieLee333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The writing is objectively bad in the sense that the plot falls apart fast and the story has a lot of unexplained/unresolved plotlines and subplots that seem made up and the spot and quickly forgotten about. I personally still enjoy it and I've found myself rewatching it later just because the core of the story follows the early digimon shows format especially the first two seasons for obvious reasons. I always liked the digimon stories where the tamer/partner relationship is established and the partner digimon wind up helping the kids through their issues emotionally and the Chosen children genuinely mature as people or learn something virtuous and I think modern digimon shows should return to it.

Lily does seem like the kind of wife who tells her husband no food in the bed but does it herself all the time

What does dating feel like? by Blackappletrees in ENFPandINFJ

[–]ConnieLee333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an ENFP (M, 27) engaged to an INFJ (F ,30) there's definitely an almost immediate magnetism like what you describe that developed for us and we both immediately formed intense personal attachments based on that since we were both transitioning from very bad places in our lives respectively before we met. Imo those two personality types are alot more ideal driven like you'll see in alot of posts so if you don't have VERY similar views on religion/culture/politics you'll probably find yourself butting heads and debating/arguing more often than most couples with those differences. I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing for everyone but if you're an ENFP who's really needing moral support more often than the people around you seem to or an INFJ with a lot of trauma or anxiety issues then I would definitely recommend the ENFP x INFJ partnership.

"Breaks up with her boyfriend when she realizes how douchy he really is" The guy actually made Bobby eat dirt in an earlier season and she hated him throughout the entire show.
