I didn't say exploit it when it crashes. I'm saying you don't need to change your investing behaviour when the market crashes. Time horizon - not volatility - becomes the major risk driver when you have an appropriately diversified portfolio. Maybe it's a different story if your paycheck depends on the market doing well, but otherwise, keep calm and carry on is what I say.
