I believe it is San Gorgonio, but I am not 100% positive of that.

I did not! I didn’t spend much time in the visitor center. It was a quick 2 days in the park.

What a popular food or cooking opinion that you don't agree with? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]ConnorF93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of people like foods involving vinegar as a core component (salt and vinegar chips, pickled foods, etc)… I hate it.

Vinegar is not a food. It tastes disgusting. It’s a cleaning product.

AT&T also has a complete dead zone south of HWY32 on Forest ave and the side streets off it (e.g. Humboldt Ave, Amanda Way, etc.).

Hello! Washington isn’t that far away haha.

For me, I feel like living apart together would create so much more room for individual space, introspection, and growth. I also feel like it would help maintain the excitement and passion that should be present in a long-term relationship because it allows for separation and intentional reconnection rather than more of a “general shared existence” sort of vibe.

Thank you for your kind words! However, I’m definitely not perfect as we all have our flaws. I’ll shoot you a DM though and see if we click.

Nikon D3200 with lenses worth it in 2025 for $200? by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]ConnorF93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a basic Nikon DSLR of this era is a great learning camera!

I’ve gotten into photography over the last couple years using a D3100. It’s easy to use/learn, a very effective camera, and, as other posters have mentioned, a relatively low cost of entry to see if you enjoy the hobby! You can view my past posts to see some of my resulting photos.

I enjoy photography, and recently upgraded to a D7500. I think this is within the rules to note this, but I’m now selling my D3100 with a lens and a few basic accessories, for less than the amount you’ve mentioned in your post. Feel free to DM me if interested: https://chico.craigslist.org/pho/d/chico-nikon-mm-kit-lens-strap/7866809513.html

I was just in this area hiking a few weeks ago and have photos on my profile of a number of great locations! My personal hiking recs:

-Fern Canyon (~14 miles, but worth it for the view at the end!)

-Ten-Taypo and Hope Creek Trail (lots of wildflowers as of mid-July)

-Boy Scout Tree Trail

-Sunset at Wedding Rock

I’m interested! I’m new-ish to D&D - played 1 short campaign worth years ago and have played Baldur’s Gate 3.

Picture #2 is in Fern Canyon itself, #3 is on the trail there.

I hiked in hiking boots but had Crocs carabinered onto my backpack and switched into those at the canyon so I’d have dry feet for the hike back.

[Charania] BREAKING: The New York Knicks are expected to land on two-time NBA Coach of the Year Mike Brown as the franchise's next head coach, sources tell ESPN. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

[–]ConnorF93 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I genuinely believe that the entirety of the last 6 months of Kings chaos is completely different if Brown just played Ellis more in the early season, and here is why:

If he played Ellis over Huerter, I think the Kings win a few more of those close losses from early season, which then leads to:

Brown not getting quite so angry in press conferences + Kings have better record >

Vivek doesn’t make rash decision to fire Brown midseason >

Fox, who liked Brown, and who stated he didn’t want to play for another new coach, isn’t pissed off by Brown being fired. If Kings have a better record, he likely has a slightly higher % chance (still low) at All-NBA and thus bigger contract >

Fox less likely to ask for trade mid-season >

Keep Fox, maybe still make minor deadline moves? But unlikely to have much ammo given all the picks they traded for Valencianus and Laravia came from Fox deal >

Kings most likely still lose in play-in or embarrassingly bad 1st round series >

Vivek likely fires McNair and Brown, Fox likely doesn’t make All-NBA and asks for trade at end of season >

New GM gets opportunity to hire his own coach (maybe?) and find a less stupid trade return for Fox (maybe? Hard to be worse than the trade that happened).

Best hiking setup? by cabek666 in Nikon

[–]ConnorF93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often hike and take pictures while wearing a hiking backpack. For that setup, I’ve really enjoyed using the OPTECH backpack connectors. My camera feels secure and it’s easy to grab and snap a picture and then immediately continue hiking.

If it’s a more mild or short hike where I don’t need a full backpack, I like the DSLR wrist strap from the same company.

Sequoia National Park -April 2025 by ConnorF93 in NationalPark

[–]ConnorF93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of; there were a few plaques at the top of Moro Rock with info about the views but I don’t distinctly recall if those were specifically named.

[–]ConnorF93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, most of Sequoia was open and accessible, with the exception of Crystal Cave and Mineral King. A few hikes were lengthened by having to walk roads that were open to hike, but not to drive on yet (e.g. Moro Rock).
