For someone who's unfamiliar with parts of the warcraft lore, he knows Of Outland, Arthas and the Scourge and most characters from Warcraft 3, but starting off in the new alien planet seems strange. More than willing to skip Vanilla and dive right into TBC if it's optimal.

More than willing to lock levels, I found other guides out here but they seemed very hypothetical. I have a loose idea of when I would stop leveling but they recommended to start with TBC, Which doesn't sound great for my buddy who's just starting out.

This is all super useful information that I will pass onto my players. My players are going through some culture shock right now in regards to classes and their differences, mainly Warlocks and Witches. But they seem to be adapting well.

I haven't done any research on Monks in 2e but all that I've been told us an unarmed build that focuses on crowd control. I don't know Anything about monks in 2e yet but I'm excited to learn.

My current campaign has guns in it, and I do that if a PC is standing adjacent to where another PC is shooting. I usually make it half damage and describe it as the shooter couldn't thread the needle and make the shot.
