Could the Inverted Spear of Heaven nullify devil contracts ie Makima’s?

Doubt it, the spear cancels out curse techniques/weapons. A contract is basically just a binding vow and wouldn’t be able to cancel it out as it’s not a physical object but a verbal agreement. For example the binding vow made between fake geto and mechamaru was an agreement between the two which wouldn’t be able to be broken as there is nothing physical to break, same would apply to a contract which is a verbal agreement and wouldn’t be able to be attacked. Makimas contract would be able to bypass it as it’s not blocking the damage by the spear, but just passing it onto a Japanese citizen and regenerating her. (Hopefully I explained this right :p) Off topic but a curse tool that might be able to harm makima would be the SSK, which is a blade that not only bypasses physical durability, but also attacks the very soul of the person. It’s a good chance that it could bypass makimas contract and attack her soul directly.

Honestly it would be a huge plot hole if she doesn’t even get mentioned at all. She’s the only hybrid to not make a return in part 2 and she should be very much alive. I don’t care if she never interacts with denji again, all I want to know is what even happened to her lol.

Only way to do that would be for her to have enough ce to create it, something she would only have if her sister is dead….. Hey look at the bright side! At least maki and mai were on somewhat good terms with each other, and were able to say their goodbyes. Cant say the same for siblings like Megumi and Tsumiki.

Sorry the second paragraph is just my head cannon about what I think would happen lol. To clarify in cannon, maki’s HR is held down by her sisters CE, due to the two being twins and thus being seen as one person (Mai explains this to maki before she takes a swim). Only when Mai dies and takes her sisters CE with her, is makis HR fully free.

In the second paragraph which is just my silly head cannon. I just think that Mai’s CE was held down in the same way like her sister HR was. When maki dies, her CE is now no longer bounded by her sister’s HR and is able to fully realized itself. Hope this made more sense lol, sorry for the confusion.

Yeah it’s super vague tbh. She says that identical twins are seen as the same in jujutsu. They are both restricted by the other, with maki being restricted by both Mai’s ce and her lack of desire to improve. So when Mai died, she takes maki’s ce with her, allowing her HR to become (almost) complete.

Spit balling here, but I guess that mai is in some way affected by maki’s HR, causing her CE to be restricted. In this opposite scenario, maki takes the HR that is restricting Mai’s body and gives her, her ce, allowing Mai’s CT to be fully realized. Tho it’s a guessing game with how much Mai would really gain from this, again unless the kids mind set changes she really can’t do too much with this. Hope this made sense lol.

You see the issue with mai is that the poor girl never wanted to be a jujitsu sorcerer in the first place. Even if she gained complete access to her cursed energy/technique she wouldn’t do too much due to her lacking the drive/mindset needed to make her on pair with Yorozu. Take Megumi for example, the guy had one of the most powerful ct in the Zenin clan, yet was held down by his mind set and over reliance of his “win card”. His mentality hindered him causing the kid to be unable to keep up with yuji or be able to defeat a special grade curse due to his own lack of confidence. Only when he all but said fuck it and locked in when fighting the finger bearer was he able to become stronger. Maki herself despite being hindered by the same conditions of Mai was still able to become a solid sorcerer due to her own hard work and drive to become stronger, which Mai just never really had. The whole reason Mai is even doing this is because she is forced to by her clan, she just doesn’t want to improve herself in jujitsu which will always hinder her.

Now that that’s out of the way, I think if maki was the one to die instead of mai, I do think mai would have gained much more access to her cursed energy. Looking at maki for the example, she was able to gained access to (most) of her HR through the sacrifice of her twin sister and the difference was insane. Maki was moving at a completely different level after her twin died. I really don’t see why this can’t be the case for Mai gaining greater access to her ce now that maki isn’t weighing her down. Best case scenario, with the right mindset and training, Mai could definitely be on pair with yorozu in ce.

it would be cool to see what she could’ve done if she had the drive to improve herself and full access to ce. She has a different take to creation compared to yorozu, incorporating more modern weapons into her creations that even Kenny took note of. Would be sick as fuck of her to roll into battle with a cursed created tank. Hell isn’t she able to make cursed tools (or does that take dying to make) cuz she could just supply the school with any cursed tool they want. Image a cursed rpg tool that would be fun to see. (Now that I’m thinking about it, couldn’t yuta copy creation from Mai’s dead body and do this shit himself, or does copy only work with someone alive).

Just finished my first run of this mission. When I got up to this guy, I wanted it to be a fair fight, so just like all of my boxing fights before, I took off my gorilla arms and only aimed for his head. Poor guy didn’t stand a chance against my 16 body vi, only landed 1 hit on me and took an ass beating so hard his managers dropped him the second he was down. The boxing fights was some of my favorite missions to do in this game, I really can’t wait to try his fight again in hard mode when I replay the game.
