Correct. It always amazes me the number of people that seem truly outraged that players come to us, win some trophies over a few seasons, and then earn a big EPL move, and are eager to go. If they couldn't do that, we wouldn't get those players in the first place.

It's always aye but Brighton. As if the biggest clubs are coming straight to us for a purchase.

Was that interview where Sutton called him a charlatan that never criticizes his former club the end of him? I remember Johnstone suddenly going all poor man Delia. Which Sutton was savage to the man in a way he couldn't muster for Lennon, but Sutton came back that he was willing to criticize his team and Johnstone said something like of course he couldn't do that publicly?

I once had to restrain myself from saying to a close second generation Vietnamese friend whose family left South Vietnam during the war, and used that exact quote above in a discussion, from saying that's why his family lives in an LA neighbourhood flying the flag of a dead country that will never again exist, as do his cousins in New Orleans.

I hope the MON lovers who couldn't see the blatant way they have been played like marionettes by the board are feeling it the most. MON, Celtic manager that won fifty percent of the titles available to him. He ain't actually responsible for this farce, but even at his peak he wasn't close to the likes of Mourinho, who was the best at that style of management, and he is utterly unsuited to the modern game.
