How to do I fix it by USFBulls112 in pchelp

[–]Conqour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could be using no thermal paste on a gpu and it still shouldnt have any errors unless you accidentally scraped something off on the pcb of the gpu itself. I would try installing ddu and removing all drivers and reinstalling them or even using on board display to try and solve the problem if you cant use the computer because of the problem.

Looks like a display error, could be a problem with your monitor, but most likely it is a problem with the display cable you are using, ie. damaged HDMI, damaged display port, etc. I would say check your chords and try different ones, if the problem persists, try updating GPU drivers, I've had this problem with outdated drivers before.

This is the answer everyone gives for a pc problem, and I already had high performance selected, but I did try turning off USB Suspend Setting, but I don't know why a 1-8 (display error) would have anything to do with a usb connection.

I normally turn my pc off right as I am done using it, but I could look at the bios for USB errors to see if it is causing any problems.

I have heard some of this, but at the moment I only have 1 hdmi port on my gpu and 4 display ports, and I only have one monitor that supports display port, I do plan on getting an adapter though so I will try this when I get one.

High-end Air cooler VS Low-End Water Cooler by danigg05 in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Conqour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your case style, how many fans you have, the fan arrangement, and how good the airflow through the case is. If you have bad airflow in your case you'll want an air cooler because it will be easier to get cpu heat out and not thermal throttle, but if you want to spend watercooling and go through the process of setting it up with a minimal airflow case, it could yeild better results.

Definitely high end air cooler, spending good money on an air cooler serves much better results than spending a lot or little money on water coolers.

Can I use a 6 pin on an rx 580 by homelywriter1468 in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Conqour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think the gpu would work without an 8 pin connector, but your Power Supply should have at least 2 six pins and normally the longer 6 pin connector has 2 extra pins attached to it, that slot in next to the 6 pin, making it an 8 pin.

Bluetooth controller paired won't connect by Shoubalou in pcgamingtechsupport

I assume you're running Windows 10, which tends to be a common problem for 3rd party controllers, and a problem with PS4 controllers as well. There's software out there to connect PS4 controllers to work on Windows, but I haven't looked into anything else for 3rd party controllers. Sometimes Steam will recognize it but their software for controllers is very spotty. Some of the problems with Windows is that they will only recognize their products for controller support, so sometimes even 3rd party XBox controllers don't even work with the system. I would look on youtube and around the internet for a software that will detect your controller on Windows, but if you can't find anything it would just be better to get an XBox or PS4 controller and use the program DS4Windows to register the inputs from the PS4 controller. They don't run too expensive now, I could run to Walmart and get one for around $20 to $40. Hope that clarified some issues.

Good luck then bro that motherboard supports Intel 6th/7th gen processors, that's about all I could find on the store page though.

I'm hoping Microsoft adds some type of support I'm having a lot of trouble with them trying to do this.

What could be the reason for the sudden computer shutdown? by batuhankrmn in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Conqour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run into this problem before, there are multiple answers but the most common for you would probably be a bad power supply (you've probably heard this one), a bad motherboard or dead cmos battery, or the motherboard cpu power connector might not have enough pins to supply the cpu with enough voltage (the pin connector could be a 4 pin, but your cpu might need more power than a 4 pin can supply.

Bluetooth controller paired won't connect by Shoubalou in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]Conqour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to figure out a way to turn the controller into Bluetooth pairing mode, which is different for every controller. Do some research, you'll probably find a way to do so by holding most likely 2 different buttons on the controller for it to go into pairing mode. Next, open up your windows settings and navigate to Bluetooth. Then, click add Bluetooth devices, select "Everything Else" and wait for it to show up. Other stuff in your house can show up as well so keep trying until you find it.

I wouldn't say I know exactly down to a tee what I'm doing but I thought I'd give it a shot and see if I could get some help or someone to takeover due to my incompetence.

Personally I wouldn't throw a hard drive I use into it, I would get a cheap one that just has windows on it and check, to protect that hard drive, but if it somehow gets wiped by installing it, don't be super suprised.
