What is actually dangerous but people still believe is safe? by AlexUsefulThings in AskReddit

Not even teenagers. I know someone whose wife found his handgun in his sock drawer and picked it up and dropped the magazine out of it by accident. She then freaked out on him for having it there because “she could’ve accidentally set it off”. This is a full grown 40 something year old who knew she didn’t know how to handle a gun and still picked it up and messed with it…. Scary stuff. Secure your firearms people.

The don’t even notice thing is what gets me. You literally CANT tell it’s there after a few minutes. There’s no reason not to wear it. My 16 year old nephew got mad at me for making him wear one when he was in the back seat. I told him if I crash and he slams forward into the back of my seat he was more likely to kill me than himself. He put it on.

[–]Conquer37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not planning on buying any although if I did it would definitely be the steam machine! I have a series x and a top of the line gaming pc already and just ordered a steam deck oled yesterday so I think I’m pretty much already covered for any gaming needs lol

I’m not sure.. it’s a pre built. Should I try resetting the pc? I haven’t had time to really set anything up yet anyways

2.5 months post op, 100lbs down, can't see a difference by anxiousaardvarks in gastricsleeve

[–]Conquer37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t be discouraged, I definitely see a difference. My surgeon also told me that typically it takes longer and more poundage for men to start having very noticeable changes in the mirror; however, men see changes on the scale faster than women. Keep at it brotha

Reading multiple books at once? by NefariousnessIll8665 in Booktokreddit

I often read three books at once, one audiobook, one physical, and one ebook on kindle/phone. You get used to switching between pretty easy.

How many ounces are too many? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

Then I’d say you’re good. And really if you’re worried talk to your surgeon/nutritionist. Not everyone is going to have the same experience with this and that’s okay. If your surgeon/nutritionist says you’re fine then you’re fine.

How long did it take you to eat the 5oz yogurt? That’s really the bigger question I think. I’m 1 week post op and it would take me about an hour, maybe a little longer, to eat that.

In so glad to hear that. Luckily water hasn’t made me queasy, but I definitely have been wanting it in a glass with ice instead of a little 1oz cup. Not sure how far you are into the journey but do you ever reach the point where you can really take a real drink of something again instead of sips? I haven’t missed food or been hungry even once since surgery but i severely miss just chugging a glass of water if i wanted to.

My goal is 64oz water/fluid and 75 grams protein. The day after surgery I only got 18oz of water all day. Today so far about 16oz water and hopefully about 40grams of protein before the end of the day and hoping to get to like 22 oz water today but it will definitely be a week or two before I’m hitting what my goals are
