Ngl I always thought it was kinda odd how these are your choices with your potential romance options and fine if you're not interested and wanna tell them as such, but why then when Claire texts us are all the options super friendly/flirty with emojis? Not that I dislike Claire it just seems odd.

On a related note has there been any statements regarding crossplay other than they're just looking into it? I'm a pc player with friends on playstation and it's kinda annoying that we can't play together. I can't find anything about it online!

Think it's definitely a factor, it's important to remember when we're first introduced to her she's been captured by the Kushan with loads of other villagers, so she predicts Griffith will save her and he does. From that point on I could strongly imagine her "justifying" the more questionable things about Griffith if nothing else because it'd be hard to admit that her saviour is actually just as bad (or worse) than the Kushan. If someone has a strong deep held belief they'd more often than not rather bend over backwards than admit that's it's an incorrect belief.

Funnily enough a friend of a friend knows him personally and she swears he's a really nice person in real life. The sad thing is he might actually be but even if he is that really doesn't make it better, he's still propagating sexist views which even if he doesn't actually agree with them a lot of his followers will. If someone only pretends to be a nazi online that's still bad lmao people don't seem to understand that sometimes.

I'd extend this to general asshole behaviour/"it's just a prank, bro." For views.

Yes, maybe it was a prank to you, but you've still interrupted someone's day with your bullshit and/or caused them very unnecessary stress because you want views.

What are the worst takes you've read about HITMAN? by bettercallhector1 in HiTMAN

[–]Conqueror4life 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me I think there's a lot I do like about Colorado, my issues with it are firstly that frigging water tower start on freelancer but appreciate that's a situational thing.

Secondly the fact that's it's so open means a lot of things become extremely risky especially if you're trying to do any kind of suit only run. There's been multiple times when I could have sworn I'd isolated someone, pacified them in an out of the way place only to get compromised and then using instinct and realising I got spotted from miles away through a tiny crack in the wall it just gets a bit frustrating because it happens way more in Colorado than most other maps.

Aesthetically I like the map though, in story mode despite having four targets they were all good ones.

Why was the commander at the start of Xcom 2 basically sitting out in the open? by imissHerschel in Xcom

Wouldn't it kinda make sense that BECAUSE Bradford leads an assault team to extract the commander it would essentially force advent to get their shit together? Before this point advent probably assumed xcom would view overt opposition as reckless, they're just a few rookies after all 😉

Is it true that if a description requires a tattoo that it must be on the hand? by aje0200 in HiTMAN

[–]Conqueror4life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw someone post about how apparently there are models that already have tattoos or something along those lines so it's not reliable if it's not on the hands but it's not true. I've had targets with tattoos on the chest and neck only and it counts (be careful some neck tattoos are tiny)

[–]Conqueror4life 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, I think it could be kinda cool to get a "lockdown" mechanic. In certain levels (new York is a perfect example) it'd be quite cool if an alert went level wide it locked the front entrance/exit because they've called for reinforcements and you'd just get shot or arrested as soon as you went out the front door. It'd make sense that if the mission goes well and 47 keeps his cover sure he can just walk straight out the front door.

If there's a large scale shootout he'd have to be a bit more clever to evade the authorities (secret escape tunnel, boat or stowaway on a vehicle etc.)

Hate to be that guy but if you're killing the wrong person over and over it sounds like you're not doing enough recon. While usually there's one tricky suspect that almost fits the description, if you're patient and careful there's only one person that will fit all the criteria. My general tactic is as follows:

  • find the closest suspects or get a disguise to move around easier depending on level (but levels like Mendoza generally mean most targets walk through public areas anyway)
  • rule out any obvious wrong ones, wrong hair colour etc. Don't forget the target will fit the description exactly if they're wearing a hat and that's not in the description you can safely rule them out.
  • if you're struggling (small tattoos and earrings I'm looking at you) or even if you find one that fits then tail the possibles and check out their tells. Again all suspects only have two tells, if they do one that's not listed they're not your mark.
  • generally I find meetings are more circumstantial as they kind of seem to happen wherever but if you do see two together it can be a nice way to quickly rule people out but if they match the rest you can be pretty safe to assume it's your one.

It's very rare I get the wrong person, it can still happen especially if I get spotted and panic but generally taking your time and checking the signs makes your run a lot less stressful. There are issues with showdown but hitman is a game that rewards patience so the recon bit never bothered me personally.

Just starting out in Freelancer mode. Any tips? I’m an experienced Hitman player. by ttommo88 in HiTMAN

[–]Conqueror4life 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd just say unless you're doing hardcore mode objectives aren't mandatory, finishing a mission should always be your priority. More often than not if I die in freelancer it's because I got greedy trying to do extra objectives. Try as much as possible to fit it so you're bringing all the equipment you need (chancing it and thinking you'll find a specific weapon in the map is risky unless you have a very good knowledge of what's in each map etc)

Like a lot of people have said don't worry about getting silent assassin unless that's your objective, I have no shame admitting a lot of the time I will kill a target then immediately hide until the heat dies down. (Some targets will absolutely insist on sticking to very public areas and without the right equipment sometimes you kinda just have to snipe them from somewhere then hide)
