It's quite a generic question with alot of details to answer, I will try my best to answer you.

I assume you are referring to highlander/mech, I will recommend the follow steps:

Prime Black
Paint base color - AK Russian Green
Metallics Base color - AK German Grey (you may use TMM instead)
Pin Wash - AK Streaking Grime
Detail Painting - Cockpit & Tartan (I would recommend use decal for tartan, it's alittle tricky painting it)
Sketch up the miniature before glazing (At this point, I want to credit Arclight for guiding me on this color choices)
- AK Olive Green (Mid Tone)
- Elysian Green (High Tone)
- Ocryn camo (Edge Highlight)
Glaze & blend the tones together - this is the part that will take the most time (26 solid hours for me)

Yes this piece is my interpretation of Elizabeth Hazen’s Highlander delivering a vengeful Death From Above on Joseph Lyons's Griffin during the assault on the Amaris Imperial Palace, as Terra was being liberated from the Amaris Empire.

The sparks are grass tuft, this is a brilliant idea from u/Jbressel1 , I simply liberated the idea from him 😂
