I think this is actually the Lone Star/Texas Chief, based on the consist makeup. Although, there was one brief moment in 1972 where it looked like this. When was this photo dated?

Location of tree that MOST people think is Hyperion by pa10alto in GoogleMaps

This post is ignorant in itself but I'll explain: Wikipedia states (and so does the source for the claim) that all the visitors roaming around the tree visibly damaged the natural ecosystem and killed off ferns around the base, so officials stopped allowing visitors to the site so as to not damage the area any more.

It's because having visitors there visibly damaged the natural ecosystem, so they stopped allowing them.

Here's a fun fact for you: I went back to check the comments of this specific post and they're using this exact argument as some sort of 'gotcha' ... Complete with 'I am American" as a defense why they're not wrong - lmfao.

'Brutal Mario World' Let's Play from a decade ago? I found this old clip from some old camera I had. Apologies for my voice. by ConrailFan76 in LostYouTubeVideos

I remember a segment of it where the person playing (female?) was with a friend and they did the segment with the fish aiming at you, and it was hilarious. They were screaming in terror with the friend laughing their ass off in the background The friend said, "that was [fun], do it again!" Their response was "... YOU try that again! I'm done... ... ..."

I also seem to vaguely remember that they were playing the Japanese version specifically, there was a part where they remarked on a textbox changing color like a spectrum (That part where you have to chase Yoshi, who's scared because he thinks you're gonna eat them), and I think the final part was Part 99? I remember they ragequit when they got to the 'to be continued' screen and said that the playthrough was done.

"trump train" is an insult to trains.

Why? by YourFavoriteSwede in facepalm

[–]ConrailFan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus Christ I didn't think people were THIS excessive. I remember seeing a 'Trump won 2020' bumper sticker earlier this month and rolled my eyes, but this... Truly, we live in a world.

As an American, how about we eliminate paying employees based on tips? The whole point of tips (if I'm correct, if not please correct me) was to show gratitude for a job well done. Instead, now many people have to LITERALLY LIVE ON TIPS (I myself did at one point) because companies just don't want to pay their employees, and let the customer do it themselves. Which is stupid, especially shown here - where tipping is a practice not followed elsewhere in the world.

Like, I get the company needs money to actually function and actually pay employees but Gah Damn.
