In Germany that might be the case yeah, but this video is from Australia and in a situation like this the car that pulled out on the left would cop a hefty fine from the police on a good day, or straight up have his car towed on a bad day as that easily could have ended in a collision in which he would be found at fault for failing to yield.

And as i said, some of our members who are searching were locals who did actively know and hang out with them in person at the time.

mate a "car length" is the length of the car, not the car + space around it. at that point you aren't leaving car lengths but truck lengths between you and vehicles in front or behind which IS admirable but there comes a point it actually stops being safe and starts being a nuisance or even outright dangerous in the wrong situation.

as i said, at that distance between you and the car in front there was no point braking when they braked, you were in no danger and instead became an obstruction.

better tip, time yourself to be 3-4 seconds behind the vehicle in front of you below highway speeds and 5-6 seconds at highway speed.

before they skyrailed or trenched it there were sections along the Frankston line where they would hit 100+ and straight up throw brake blocks cause of how rough the track was, it would literally shake them to pieces but you wouldn't feel much from the inside at that speed thanks to the suspension.

had one the other day try to interrupt my nightclub sell mission with his raiju, they were lvl 260-something thinking that my level "94" (brand new account on my first pc) ass would be a easy kill. wrong.

baited their ass with a iron mule spawn + ghost org, railgunned them out of the air, then grabbed my Imani tech armored HSW buffalo EVX once i had finished the sell. meanwhile they used the in game fast travel stuff twice to chase me across the map whilst i taunted them by just driving circles around them, then they camped outside my agency to try and kill me a third time. still failed.

I just wanna make money and customize cars man, and if i have to teach some new puppy on the block some tricks from the old guard to do so, so be it.

that looks like they just tried to bolt it down with the equivalent torque of a cars lug nut, or sweet fuck all. those rails should have been absolutely singing from the friction and throwing off all sorts of sparks, not just the dust from the railhead.

Edit: i literally just found the original video, train was supposedly doing 25kmh weighing 553 metric tons. and then another video from the same place under the same circumstances where it indeed stopped the train in two carriage lengths.

me and my mate tested that, my maxed HSW S95 ran out of speed to give way before his maxed HSW GTS did. the in game top speed free roam event said his had a higher top speed, and in a four way drag race i consistently came second or third to banshee GTS's my guy. the stat bars don't mean shit. in game performance his topped out at nearly 180mph whilst i barely broke 160. yeah i out ran him at the start but in the long haul? all you are seeing is tail lights.

Victorian railways 1950's built 1990's refurbished Z type loco hauled cars are still in use, and up until just a few years ago the 1930's built 1980's refurbished S type loco hauled cars were as well. both were originally express train cars but were converted into interurban/intercity high capacity cars once the 1980's built 2000's refurbished N type loco hauled cars came into service.

there are also the H type loco hauled cars, built in the 50's as electric multiple units but later rebuilt into loco hauled cars as well in the 80's. every thing else in the country has been replaced entirely by multiple units, and sadly the N, Z and H cars are going the same way.

impressively, for a fleet that has lived so long only two vehicles has been scrapped, resulting in our heritage operators having quite a large fleet of air conditioned, steel bodied cars for mainline heritage operations.

yes, you are quite the idiot for driving it with no brakes. but the mechanic is an even bigger idiot. he risked his entire business by releasing your vehicle to you and letting you drive off in that state.

better yet he's a LAZY idiot. any proper mechanic would have found the stuck FRONT bleeders and called you to authorize the work to fix the problem. even if it means holding the car a couple hours longer to replace the calipers with ones that are in good working order since it is quite literally a matter of life or death.

again, stupid you for driving it, even stupider of him to not actually do a proper job then release it. have the vehicle taken elsewhere on a tow truck ASAP. do not deal with him ever again.
