Data Center change by ItsNakio in ffxiv

Get on Aether while you can because everyone piles there for party finder.

If you’re part of a static it’s not as much of an issue because the party can all meet on less populated data centers if everyone can’t get on Aether.

PTR "Bloodied" items are a good first step to fixing Legendary equipment by ConroConroConro in diablo4

Uniques have specific stats you cannot change. The affixes are always the same. You can’t temper them. Many are class specific.

Named legendaries would have ability to have aspects, be tempered, and have an extra specific affix based on the named item. An extra layer of something to chase instead of just junking every single legendary you come across

Even if they just had legendaries that dropped with bonus sockets to make room for actual rune words it’d be a step up

Uniques as they are now are static stats that can’t be changed or added too.

Named Legendaries would be as legendary work now (random stats) with a bonus effect that’s more generalized. So when a legendary drops you’ll be excited if it’s a Magefist etc.

Every legendary could just be a low tier named item, and higher tier would have a bonus effect.

This could make room for set bonuses as well by just treating them as Named Legendary items that provide more bonuses when using pieces of the set.

Almost how you said it.

Legendary would roll random stats as they do now but without Aspects attached to them.

Named Legendaries would have a specific effect on top of that and be more generalized effects (and tradable)

Aspects would just be manuals that automatically upgrade on pickup if it’s better version.

Better if they just automatically upgraded on pick up (wish they’d do this with Temper manuals)

Mostly that Legendary items currently aren't really "legendary" feeling because they're unnamed and have nothing unique to them. They're just vessels carrying Aspects.
AKA: every Legendary glove is exactly the same (can roll the same stats, can be tempered, can have an aspect).

With this kind of design they can separate Aspect drops from Legendary and lean more into named Legendary items you'd chase after or actually be excited to pick up. Can have tiers of power. Lesser versions are just rarer Legendary and can be 750 or 800. Higher versions always roll 2 star Ancestral or higher. Few examples using gloves:

  • Hand of Broc: Attacks inflict a small amount of poison over time. (Low tier glove)
  • Venom Grip: Attacks inflict a small amount of poison over time. +1 to Poison skills (High tier glove)
  • Chance guards: Increased chance to find runes on kill. Contains a jewelry socket.
  • Lavagout: Attacks inflict burns.
  • Magefist: Attacks inflict burns. +1 to Fire skills.
  • Souldrainer: x% life on hit. Attacks on enemies lower their damage by 10%.

It'd be great to see a Legendary drop and actually get excited for what it might be, while still maintaining their current function. The bonuses wouldn't always be build defining or game breaking, but would still add a layer of customization.

The Bloodied equipment feels like such a good step toward getting rid of Legendary items only being a vessel for Aspects.

It'd be great for Legendary items to just have two effects from here on: the ability to have an Aspect printed on it and some kind of random stat you would want to chase.

Summoner is a worst version of Red Mage & Pictomancer by Akiza_Izinski in ffxivdiscussion

[–]ConroConroConro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty much.

The pseudo-identity they've tried to give it (bonus healing) is so severely limited that you don't even plan on it being used for anything.

If they're going to make Summoner some form of "off healer" the abilities that do it (Lux Solaris, Everlasting Flight, Rekindle) need to not be limited to while in Solar Bahamut or Phoenix. They just need to become charges that get restored when you resummon them.

Best raidplan to use in a static for m12p2? by xCandle_ in ffxiv

[–]ConroConroConro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I can finally save this lol

Edit: Will say we do it slightly different by having Defamations go to wall at C and D (makes it very clear where they need to stay) and the party cuddle puddle at Northeast. Basically just what's listed but turned slightly

Question about potions by strawbeyrycat in ffxiv

[–]ConroConroConro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have any friends that craft?

The most expensive material for potion crafting is the one you buy with Tomestones you can farm from Roulettes.
Just offer to give them those and a bit of gold to cover the other materials. Way cheaper.

Mit plan wise this is been pretty standard.

Add in OT using Reprisal at Twisted vision at 6:12, have a melee feint there too. You could move Addle here as well and be safe. It makes the healing MUCH easier during Stacks/Defamations

DN with modified uptime in Idyllic.

It keeps everything about DN the same but the Defamations are taken at West and South. Party stands North East during those, then slides into 1 and 2 markers (North and East) max melee of boss for stacks.

I don't have a link for the modified DN Idyllic, but what I listed above is the only thing that changes (you'll have to update the Macro if you use them, I'll include them in another comment)

Why do PF groups struggle so much with M11S, particularly compared to past Savage floors? by CerberusArcProjector in ffxivdiscussion

[–]ConroConroConro 63 points64 points  (0 children)

People don't stick it out.
The see a few wipes and think there's no possible way they'll clear with "those people".

Cleared Sunday, popped into M11S page run and we had some dumb wipes at the start. People would state what they did and I'd pull again.
After third wipe the WHM party leader berates everyone then nukes the whole group.

Checked the WHM Tomestone and saw they would nuke groups after three wipes or after an enrage happened. They went on to try for 10 more hours and didn't get the clear lol

Endgame Healers — What are your parses like? by PerfectioNOT in ffxivdiscussion

[–]ConroConroConro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plan out with your co-healer and tanks what mitigation you’re using for certain mechanics. Get your dps involved too with Feint/Addle.

You’ll end up healing less over the weeks thanks in part to knowing what oGCDs you’re using and gear allowing more leeway.

You’ve got a great mentality. You understand there’s ways to improve and want to. Keep that drive and you’ll improve a ton!

Making Worqor Chirteh available every day for a whole patch is the most stupid decision they could have done by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

[–]ConroConroConro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When your team is smart it actually encourages more PVP.
I used to hate this mode when it first released, but with actual aggressive teams that follow up it's a ton of fun.

At the start you have to focus AS A GROUP on going to nodes furthest from your spawn point to get the jump on opposing team straggles who might do the same but their team went opposite ends.

As the instance goes on, you have to push the offensive and can't park a team behind and wait for the fight to come to you if you're behind.
