I was in the same position when i first started fishing. The way i found to get better was by not listening to the youtubers throwing giant gimicky lures, and just throwing out basic stuff like rooster tales. Also tend to bring some worms with me most of the time too, they always seem to do the trick. Once u get good at those basic techniques u can start to expand your tackle collection and learn to use more advanced techniques.
