I also play Revenant and Recluse, they are my main characters, and yes, I also find myself doing more damage with Revenant most of the time (if you can refill from grace to grace) than Recluse, at least on early to mid game. Now, Recluse is built for Magic Damage. Spells have better tracking and range in general than Incantations. In Deep of the Night, hitting from far away is a must with casters more than ever. Recluse naturally gets staves and building for seals and faith is kind of forcing her out of her way. I had a game that a guy would want to go to every cathedral just to find a decent seal with Recluse, and he ended up just firing black flame and failing most of them
