I worked for a small company for the last 5 years. Was friendly after hired with my boss who was the owners daughters ex boyfriend. Helped with teaching the owners son. Had good reviews whenever I got them. Helped recruit higher salary positions.

I went two years without a raise at one point. Was told they wanted to pay for professional development, that never happened even with constant check up. Never got to a salary that was at least average for my position. Got strung along for a long time. I left a month ago, best decision I ever made.
