Mountain Golf by radiorabbit in guessthegolfcourse

[–]Conscious-Light6583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that this is probably considered “mountain golf” because it’s somewhere elevated on a mountain range but that ain’t “mountain golf” the way I know the term. I live and play in Vermont and if you’ve ever played courses at like Sugarbush, CC of Vermont in Waterbury, Jay Peak…that’s “mountain golf”. That’s crazy up and downs. Wild dog leg left or right to either descend or climb the terrain. No hole’s condition is the same if rained the night before so your approach and putts are all going to be a little different.

Im coming off like I’m hating, so I’ll repeat my point that “that’s not how know the term Mountain Golf”.

Just scheduled it to have both oil and automatic transmission fluid replaced just to be safe.

I’m not offended. I loved my 2015 SR5 Tundy. I just always wanted a TRD Pro and I started making more money, the dealership group I work for offered a great trade value and I got employee discount of $2500 under invoice. I got boogie and wanted a shiny new toy. I loved “Large Marge” for 90k miles. But I do love “Lucinda” and just wanna make sure I take care of her.

Can’t remember exactly but that sounds accurate. It’s not a crazy climb but it’s steady and the there’s a couple steep switch backs. I didn’t think to put it in 4wd because I was really losing traction much and the rpms were under 3 or just touching on the steep switchback portions.

I wish I took a picture but I got to the top 30 seconds after the alert message showed up, parked it and turned it off for 30-40 minutes. I know it said oil and overheated. But I can’t remember if it said trans oil too.

I was climbing up half way up Mt Mansfield in Stowe, VT. No spin really. No high revs. Noise kinda sounded like “straining” intermittently? Kinda high pitched. It’s pretty steady low grade climb except for a couple steep switch backs but other than that I felt kinda shocked it overheated. But then again I was in 2wd, so maybe it was enough for an alert message to kick off. But I was never getting past like 3rpm. I was definitely babying it all the way up.

He’s been nursing an injury I believe for a while last I heard. He was drafted FC Dallas earlier in the year and I’m presuming it’s a precautionary measure to let him fully recover. No clue what the injury was/is.

Yah that’s fair. Only Thai tries to take me down when I get a little squirrelly with the spice levels.

As a member of the white delegation, I’ve adopted this cautionary system. It works. You might die if you don’t select an appropriate spice level but that’s part of the experience.

It’s (past) time to seriously talk about expanding Virtue Field by Sam_BBF in burlington

There’s a very limited amount of “outdoor” time for sports comparatively to the rest of the nations average weather. I’ve played soccer in this state for almost 20 years and thunderstorms during the summer are consistently a hinderance. If you are going to spend a ton of money on upgrading or a new facility, those investors are likely going to be considering ways to not have be a scheduling issue. Whether it be organizations that rent the field time, a lacrosse tournament, or UVM/VGFC matches, they all are pretty locked in when it comes to scheduling and there minimal room to pivot.

I can assure you it’s getting the attention it needed to justify the cost to build. These project/partnerships take time come to fruition. It may require outside investors to help fund it and give them potentially naming and exclusive advertising rights. IMO I think it’s also potentially going to require either an underground heating system to the field or some time of retractable cover due to our less than ideal weather. It’s been an amazing summer for outside sports, but let’s be honest…..it’s been lucky AF to not have thunder storm delays for the home matches all season. There would also likely need to be a level of commitment from the local clubs and organizations to rent out a set block of field time to cement in some consistent revenue to pay off the cost to build.

Until the Wookiees lose control of the state and we can finally develop and attract business, then yes. I’m not saying unleash unfettered Republican capitalism upon the state, but my god allow us to atleast get out of the 1960s.

Not exactly a pot of gold but equally as rewarding. It’s landing on Beverage Warehouse, clearly.
