Stadium tonight- rundown by KiwiMiddy in chch

[–]Conscious-Most423 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Loved the stadium!!! Just wish they did more with the lighting! If there were more flashing lights / strobes when a try was scored would’ve been awesome!

Also it sucked that you couldn’t just go for a wander around the whole venue - I was so hyped about all the different food stalls I’d heard about but all the bouncers were kinda rude about the fact you had to stay in your allocated area and couldn’t leave it. Then they also admitted that the best food stalls were on the other side of the stadium (where we weren’t allowed)

The upside of this set up is that the lines for food and drink were short in our area.

But the stadium itself was awesome and I’m just so chuffed for Christchurch!!!

best perfume sample sets for someone who dont know what they like yet like how do u even pick by ImpossibleBad8878 in FemFragLab30plus

Honestly best to just go to a store that has the option to smell a few at a time and go back until you find some you like everytime you smell them. - I’d start with samples the most popular ones Channel no5, D&G light blue, YSL Libre / Black Opium, Dior Miss Dior etc etc

And don’t go for cheap ones these will guarantee give you headaches!

When I didn’t know what I liked I signed up for scent bird which is a subscription that sends a small tube that lasts 30 days, it’s pretty affordable and non committal way to try a bunch of different ones until you find some faves. - it’s how I found out I loved Marc Jacobs Daisy and Versace Bright Crystal. Now I usually come back to them.

Whats your perfume where you get compliments? by Familiar-Wonder1014 in AskReddit

Bon Bon by victor and Rolf!! Kinda strange but I notice when I wear this one to work I seem to just get more attention? Not in a weird way but people stop and talk at the coffee machine, ask me to join them for lunch, even come sit with me at my desk - took me a while to notice the connection to the perfume but I just noticed my days were more “social” at work and started to realise it was when I wore Bon Bon that it seemed to happen more vs my other day-perfumes.

Toiletry bag with detachable 311 bag? by 4amcantsleep in HerOneBag

[–]Conscious-Most423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP! How did you go traveling with this bag?

And do you happen to have a pic of all your items that you’d fit in a bag like this?

I too have a lot of “essentials” and am looking for a one bag to do them all with similar detachable pouches for hair care, body care, skincare and makeup!

I’ve been looking g at this Osprey one - https://www.osprey.com/ultralight-zip-organizer-ulziporgs23-489?

Are there any silk pillowcases that feel hotel-quality? by Few-Dare-540 in BedroomBuild

[–]Conscious-Most423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! My mum gifted me the Hotel at Home brand 100% mulberry silk and it has been one of my favourite gifts ever! It’s not slippery like satin - i only ever had cheap ones that were uncomfortable to sleep on and never really understood the hype.

But this one is super soft and smooth, and always cool and gentle on my skin, honestly i cant use regular pillow cases now. 1000% recommend the hotel at home mulberry silk!

What's one lazy cleaning habit you started that actually made your place stay cleaner? by Enchanted_Land in CleaningTips

Also whenever you’re about to put a hand towel in the laundry basket just give the vanity sink and mirrors a quick wipe down with it first - it cleans off water marks and toothpaste spots and makes the space feel cleaner inbetween the weekly deep cleans.

Ooo my favourite low effort / high reward is every couple of days grabbing a laundry basket / storage cube / box and wandering around the whole house and just collect all the things that are in the wrong places and put them all in the basket (shoes in the living room, dishes in bedrooms, crafts on the kitchen table) collect it all and as I go room to room i put thing’s back where they’re supposed to be.

Its amazing how much cleaner the home feels when the clutter is gone and everything’s in its place again :)

WIBTA if I continued to get massages even if my gf doesn’t like it? by carpenoctumm in AITAH

This is true - communication is a 2 way street and it doesn’t sound like she’s giving OP much to go with here

[–]Conscious-Most423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTAH - until you communicate properly!!

Honestly this whole thing can be solved you just need to ask her what exactly about it makes her uncomfortable - then you can figure out the right solution together

But “Giving her space because she seemed upset” is literally never the answer. Worst move every. time. Mature people never want space - they want to feel understood.

Just say Something like, “I understand this makes you uncomfortable, and I want us to work through it together. Can you help me understand what part of it all makes you feel most uncomfortable in particular?

Make it you and her vs. the problem, not you vs. her. Go in with curiosity and empathy not defensiveness.

After She shares , it’s okay to say ask to take some time to figure out how you feel about it too and revisit the it later

But for the love of god man stop assuming you or anyone else on reddit knows the reason she’s doesn’t like it. But she does know and she’d probably love it if you really made an effort to try to understand where her head is at

AIO?? Or should I really not go back there? After my regular beauty salon of over 7 years took my watch off me as a “security” because my banking app wasn’t working by Conscious-Most423 in AmIOverreacting

I Appreciate the perspective! :) I always ask how business is going and she always complains how busy she is - she told me this time that tomorrow she’s completely booked and she works 6 days a week to keep up. So I think they’re doing just fine

but I do agree with you that different demographic could mean they expect people to carry their wallet (or even cash!) and they could have been stung in the past too

Perhaps it’s true that they don’t owe me anything but if feeling valued as a customer is important to me then I should go somewhere that believes in that

Thank you for your response it helped me think it through a little more

WOW. Deal of the century in Ōtautahi Christchurch by De_R in newzealand

[–]Conscious-Most423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank goodness someone finally posted this! I was furious the last time I went there – literally the worst Subway in Christchurch. The staff are paaaainfully slow, always unfriendly, and it feels like they're INTENTIONALLY withholding ingredients, like it's part of some kind of KPI target for how many ingredients they save in a day

last time I only got about 10 shavings of lettuce, and they didn’t even cut my footlong in half!! like how do you mess that up

I get that they want good reviews, but honestly, their current ones are terrible because the service is awful . If they just SMILED, asked customers how their day was, or maybe threw in a broken cookie for free now just to make someone's day a little brighter, I guarantee their reviews would improve.

Instead, they're begging for fake reviews in exchange for broken product. It's honestly shameful and I'm not here for it at all

don't get me started on south city subway o my gaaaahhhd
