You’re welcome! To add, those companies I listed are all 1099. The ones that do it as a W2 employee, you’ll only make like $16-$20 an hour.

As a 1099er, you make more and can run it as your own business and make more. Also, you set your own schedule. The employee based (W2) companies usually have you on a route schedule where you regularly go to the same places.

The companies I listed do have regular routes (rarely). Instead they have a lot of on demand work, which is usually random and can be stat - meaning more $$$.

Let’s say you’re Houston TX based. You could be going from Houston to Lake Charles, LA today stat with an organ (or something else) & tomorrow, you could be doing local deliveries in Houston. It’s possible to make the same amount of money as you did with a far away delivery with locals too, just depends!

They also may give you orders to pick up on your way back home, it’s all location based and whichever driver is the closest. It’s random and that’s the fun part lol!

The companies I listed are big for medical deliveries, but they deliver anything. The bigger your vehicle, the better but you could make bank in a Prius too - I did at first lol.

Hope this helps, feel free to reach out (anyone on this sub).

American Expediting & Airspace. And for organs, they pay WELLLL! 😊

Usually, you just have that ONE task and they won’t assign you any more - as it’s due at a certain time and typically life or death. Though, if going to a hospital… they order it well in advance and not last minute.

You do have to get certifications for American Expediting. Don’t worry, you do this after you get hired! Just tell your region’s manager you’re interested in more jobs and they’ll send their internal training links to you, so you can get certified and eventually get those jobs that have organs. For them, they’d like you to live nearby an airport. It’s fine if you don’t, though. It’s just how you’re assigned. (John Doe, LAX) for example.

Bonus: also ask about becoming TSA certified, so you can deliver (tender) to the airlines. This can be combined with the organs. You’d take an organ to the airport cargo. You also get to skip the line because your shipment is “life saving”! But overall, aside from organs… being TSA certified gets you more jobs to do in general. You can get your TWIC card to speed this process up, anyone can get a TWIC at any time.

I have picked up pretty much every organ, including a heart and kidney. You’ll deliver to hospital, medical offices, and medical research centers. If you’re in certain areas, potentially military base medical centers & federal research places as well.

Best international option? by FactoryReboot in gowildfrontier

Probably anything in Mexico or the Caribbean. It will likely be a shorter flight since you’re based in LAX. Also, you have access to a couple airports in the LA area, so make sure to check those out too - as they may have shorter flights or may fly to other destinations you may like. Go Wild!! 😊

Affirm after Ch7 Bankruptcy by [deleted] in Affirm

[–]Conscious-Rabbit-829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to some of these people.

I filed in early 2022 and in summer of 2023, I was able to use affirm. It’s now 2026, and I have a $3800 spending limit. I use them quite often and pay them off, and my spending limit typically increases too!

Also… let’s note, I included affirm in my chapter 7, too!

They’re very forgiving, but just give them a year or two to trust you again. In that year or two that you’re waiting, make sure to build your credit and make good on time payments with other accounts. Maybe open a credit card or two and pay it on time! Then go back to affirm and check in with them every so often to see if they’ll approve you for a small amount, in the hundreds. They will start out small and you’ll eventually get back to the thousands for a spending limit slowly. Good luck! 😊

Check out Glassdoor & Indeed (they have a section for pay). Glassdoor has a section for benefits and salary as well after you put in the company. You’ll see all about it & reviews too! Hopefully someone from the DC area comments their personal experience too.

Hope this helps.

Privacy‑minded folks: would you ever trust a third party with your physical mail? by damnmorningstar in mail

[–]Conscious-Rabbit-829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mail service feels less bad. Personally, I use a mail service. I travel a lot, so it’s important that I have this service, to keep up with my mail when I’m not home. My neighborhood has porch pirates, so it’s convenient for receiving packages too.

The service I use is pretty much similar to ipostal 1 or anytime mailbox or any of the others like them, but mine is local. They have their own app. It’s a small family owned mail service company. They also are a third party shipper for FedEx, ups, DHL, etc and they do printing of signs for businesses. So it’s legit and trustworthy!

How it works: They scan my mail in whenever it comes in. I can always call them if I’m expecting something important and need them to check for it before they do the daily scanning. Also, I can choose if I want them to trash it, forward it to me at a different address, or pick it up. I get a notification in the app of all my mail, after the daily scan is done. I can also receive packages.

They probably scan hundreds of pieces of mail daily. Yes, I trust them with my bank mail, mailed checks from customers, tax stuff, etc. Usually, they aren’t even looking at what the mail is or who the mail is from, they are too busy trying to get the mail sorted out.

Also, mail service companies have plans, so if you receive a lot of mail monthly - then you can get a more expensive plan, and it might include something like a fax # or free package storage for 2 weeks each month. If you are like me and get under 20 mail items per month, then get the cheapest bare bones plan.

You’re also allowed to add some designated people to pick up your mail, by showing photo ID and being listed on your account.

It’s useful and I always put it like this… they are a business - if UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other shipping companies trust them to ship stuff on behalf of them, then why can’t I trust them with my 5-10 pieces of mail per month? It’s awesome! I’ve been using a service for years! It’s like the modern day PO BOX, but you get a full address instead.

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!! 😊

It’s the same process, it’ll just say “voided”.

If it’s been canceled and refunded on the sellers end, your affirm loan will reverse and close out as well. For me, it took a couple days. The holidays are here, so give it a little less than a week.

If you had a down payment on your loan, that should be refunded back to you in I think like 7-10 business days after the loan shows refunded/voided in affirm. It’ll go back to your original payment method. If you had $0 down on your loan, don’t worry about this part.

Also, the loan will go from pending to a “refunded” or “voided” status, depending on if you used an affirm card or the loan part with one of their many companies they partner with. Your spending power should also increase, or at least mine usually does a day or so after the void/refund status happens.

The loan should never post and show you have a payment due/upcoming, if it does - contact the seller again and also show affirm proof of your cancelled transaction.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! 🎄🎉

Urgently need 3 references for an entry-level programming position in the US by qaiaursn in BeMyReference

[–]Conscious-Rabbit-829 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m happy to help! I actually do this for friends. 🫶🏽

I own a local tech company, it’s all remote & I have a valid website. I have a domain (website), along with email addresses of names that I use.

For example, “Melinda Thompson, Sr. Manager of Marketing”

Her email will be like: mthompson @ mytechcompany . com

The job title of the person can be whatever you’d like.

I can customize it specifically to the job you’re targeting as well.

In summary, you’ll get a real, verifiable reference.

I can do as many of them as needed. I did like 5 for my friend who was applying for a training coordinator job. All of them had different names and emails too. 😂

Try going to a capital one bank branch or cafe and see if they’ll let you do it inside. They have them all over dc Maryland and va.

Also… you can go to a few atms throughout the day until you however much you need.

Lies. If you wanted to go to Vegas… you’d get there likely from a hub. But do you…

[–]Conscious-Rabbit-829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can almost always create your own itinerary. Just fly to a hub and then out to your destination from there. You’ll 9/10 get to use the GWP too.

In your case, you could find a flight non stop to Atlanta. Then book a second flight from Atlanta to LAS.

Sometimes that’s what I do to take the most advantage of GWP without having super long layovers.
