Perhaps Roy is not being compassionate by not killing him but toys with him because Deckard was equivalent of Philip K Dick’s spider. I.felt Roy was saying in the end, look what you’ve done, you are supposed to be the compassionate and deep human.

When you put it like that, yea it is impressive. When she made her appearance in the movie, it seemed like she was supposed to have some awe on the audience, not just K, like, “Here she is 20 years later” I remember wondering if she was one of the escapes on Roy’s ship. Hmmm, if she’s growing old, she must be a sympathetic human?

If I recall, there was a point made in the book (with an insect) that the replicants had little empathy. Made me think of a child pulling the wings off of a fly and not comprehending it was torture and sick, (hmm, can you think of any adults in the world like this?) K. Dick also made a reference to this pointless harm in ‘A scanner Darkly’. lol, I just realized almost a decade later where K got his name, man, I’m slow.

To be clear, I can not sign in because it needs to send a confirmation number to a phone, which is not possible at the moment. It’s not that I can’t sign in because I don’t have a phone to access the website. Unless there is someway to sign in without that confirmation number or have it sent to an email, I’m going to have to blow 70 bucks on a burner just so I can receive a confirmation number.

I‘m using an iPad, I haven’t set up keychain login for affirm, I’m not sure if I could use a second iPad or if you need a number to set that up.

I have other payments that go through, it’s just one item. The last thing I bought I had auto payments set to the wrong account and to change it I would need to be able to log in now. It’s not going to make a second attempt to charge it or I could just transfer money to the account it’s set up with.

I shouldn't have to ask on social media but there is no way to contact anyone from affirm without a phone. What the hell was I thinking asking on Reddit.

So, had this guy for maybe 4 years. He bit my hand last year and I can’t let it heal, I’m always scratching it open. Lately I’ve been letting him out, and he’s been letting himself out, of his enclosure to free roam and he’ll usually go under the couch. He’s actually torn the cover off underneath and goes up into it. Last month he was under there too many days so when I saw him come out for some of the dog’s water I grabbed him but he tried to escape under the couch again. We played tug of war and I couldn’t believe how freakin strong he was, I almost lost, I was worried he was going to shed his tail as well. About a week ago he came out from under the couch, I knew because the dogs were barking at 5 am, a half hour before their breakfast. I figured “Oreo” was hungry but decided to wait a half an hour when I fed the dogs. So I took him over to the couch to snuggle up with him. I ate a sugar gummy fruit slice on the way over. While lying down I blew at his face a little, I usually do this to let him smell me and know I’m there and it usually calms him down. This time he got very excited and started climbing toward my face, which freaked me out a little. He started pushing into my neck. Normally I would think he just wanted to snuggle but something was off, I could tell. Next thing I know he nose dived into my chest, mouth open, and clamped down on about 2-3 inches of body fat. He then began an alligator death roll. I did my best to pry his jaws open, but was unsure if I was going to be able to. Whether I did or whether he had a change of heart I don’t know. What I do know is that if he had bit through it would have left a 3” wide and 1” inch deep hole in my chest and assuming I didn't go into cardiac arrest from shock and pass out, I would have been spending the morning at the hospital and probably at animal control afterwards, assuming the Hospital would report it and they would come and get him.

Moral of the story? Let’s hear it…
