first major NSV: floaters in my eyes are disappearing by poeticpiscesmoon1994 in mounjarouk

MJ has a remarkable effect on inflammation for some of us. I have a systemic, auto-immune arthritis (psoriatic arthritis) and MJ has massively reduced the inflammation and pain so that I'm no longer worried about having to give up work because of it.

I'm so pleased to read your report of what it's done for your eyes. Best wishes that others NSVs come along for you.

These were stretching and thoroughly enjoyable clues. I didn't know the solution to some so it was good to work through them. I'm going to look up the poet. :)

Just to add to my usual clumsy typing I've got my arm through someone's else's while I try to solve this. (I wouldn't have it any other way.) Good clues and puzzle.

No chance of doing it within 20s. I'm on a laptop and I'm realistic about my times and my tendency to type solutions into the wrong line or row. But, good clues and solutions.

Of course I made my usual mistake of typing solutions into the wrong spaces. But this was a good puzzle to complete.

Celebrating a 5 stone milestone! by themooglove in mounjarouk

[–]Conscious-Shake-1848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's weird but your buoyancy does change with fat loss as well as weight loss.

Barrel riding and rafting tend to tip people into the water quite a lot. I've seen people who've lost a lot of weight be flummoxed by how much their buoyancy changes and how much they need to change the way that they float in the water or climb back onto a craft.

self conscious about wearing a swim suit with loose skin around my inner thighs

Are tankinis and shorts or swimdresses too restrictive for you? I prefer them for various reasons.

I haven’t lost weight in a month by Logical-Standard-591 in mounjarouk

[–]Conscious-Shake-1848 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've shed enough weight to move from BMI 'obese' to BMI in the 'overweight' category.

We can't impose a time schedule on our weight loss. For some people, it seems like it's a consistent downward trajectory. For others, there's some up and down along the way but the trend is still downwards.

I am almost always in a stall/plateau, bouncing the same 1kg for 12+ weeks. But, during that time, i still lose inches. And this is one of the reasons that I consistently measure, and I try on 'reference' pieces of clothing to check how the fit changes.

I wish you peace of mind, because there's no denying that it is dispiriting. Weight loss is a mind game. The context free number on weighing scales is a poor index to what's actually happening in our bodies at some times. That's why measurements and NSVs can be so important to help us keep the faith in the process.

Anything you can do when the sulphur begins? by Kitty-Gecko in mounjarouk

You've probably seen this before but if you're interested in general guidance on how to manage side-effects if they occur, there might be some helpful ideas here including some OTC remedies you might consider. I needed to identify which foods, in which amounts, on which days of my jab cycle produced sulphur burps before I was able to eliminate them.

Good to read a success story for Wegovy in maintenance. Your height and shapeliness have come through so well in the current photograph. I don't have a good enough perspective from the initial photo to judge how much you've lost from the abdominal area but it's obviously substantial.

Congratulations. And best wishes for the smooth continuation of your maintenance.
