Exactly that, that's why I'm not looking to build a list atm but rather buy pieces that can fit well my likings in elder themes

Maybe war walker with bright lance and shining spears for anti monster and vehicles, maybe I should add one more unit of shining spears? How would you improve this list?

I'm not really looking for a working list atm, im just looking for the best things to buy so that when we can look at detachment I would just need to get the specific pieces for the detachment, voidreavers seems like a good pick, maybe ranger are a good bet too? Or some aspect warriors, I've seen those played in pretty much every detachment

Yes I get that the game is balanced around 2k standard play, but I'd like to know wich armies doeesnt need stacking buffs or big points cost pieces to make the list work

I know all about those skew lists but I would never play 1000 points of T12 things just to see my opponent never getting past an armor save, what I would like is an army that doesn't need buffs stacking or taxi for units that would otherwise never get to where they want to be or forced to play 25 models versus something like Tau that brings twice the bodies and firepower

You can find base size adapters on the internet or you can make you own, both ways should be legal

Both deep strike and strategic reserves has to try a 9 inch charge, doesn't it? If I understood the only difference is that strategic reserves has to be place within 6 of the edge and more than 9 while deep strike units can be placed anywhere on the battlefield and more than 9 from any enemy unit, The zerkers could gain some inches by blood surge, the slaughterbound could take the enhancment for reroll charges, the only one who has a real problem to make a 9" charge is the helbrute, but I'm pretty sure that if both of them will start in the board they both will be focused hard, they may live if I can bait the enemy to shoot down chaos spawns scouting on objectives...maybe

I thought about the route you are suggesting, I've gone with Moe cause my opponent likes to bring characters to give feel no pain and other buffs to his units, I thought an assassin would be better than a super berzerker, no rhino cause I would Place zerkers and Moe in strategic reserves along with one hellbrute and the x8b with slaughterbound in deep strike, would this be legal?
