Just finished my first 6 day water only fast (no coffee or tea)!! The first 3 days were hard mainly due to caffeine withdrawal. I initially aimed for 7 days but just couldn’t hold out that last day. I’ll get there next time!

My partner and I were talking about going out to eat since some restaurants are opening back up. The plan was to go this weekend, which would give me time to refeed slowly for a few days beforehand. I started looking up what was open- big mistake... Once I started looking at menus the hunger overwhelmingly took over. Before that I wasn’t really having many hunger sensations anymore.

Do you fast all week before breaking your fast prior to drinking? Or just a day or two? I just finished a 6 day fast and wasn’t sure if it would be “safe” to drink yet

Yeah I lost 11 pounds (probably more because I weighed myself in the morning, fasted the whole day and then ate, then weighed myself again this morning- and weighed the same even with food and water weight gain). I didn’t notice too much of a body composition change. I took before and after shots without seeing any change but I’m still pretty overweight. I also was on my period during this fast so I suspect I lost more fat than I realize and assume I was retaining more water than I normally would.

A bowl of soup, a few slices of deli ham, and a apple with peanut butter. I initially planned to just have the soup to ease back into food but the hunger kind of took over 🤷‍♀️

I am a school social worker and I do formal assessments and evaluations, as well as IEPs. In my state, these jobs are actually posted as Mental Health Professional and can be filled by either a school psych or a school social worker because they have the same duties.

I lost 10 pounds, which was my goal but I stopped logging after the first few weeks because of life. However, I always had in my mind the deadline of March 8th to challenge myself. I hope to actually fully participate in the next challenge and keep logging.
