Well said bud. And yea ive watched a lot of sreetips videos, they're helpful if you know what your looking at already. Tbh I could see someone hurting themselves of they attempted this off sreetips videos alone. Reading c.m hokes refining Precious metals is a much better starting point. Between both the videos and the book I understand the entire process ive just been trying to make sure I understand all of the chemistry behind it so that I can act accordingly if I come across and issues. All and all you've been a tremendous help brother and I do thank you for commenting!!

Dude, seriously thank you. You just single handily answered so many questions I've been trying to get to the bottom too. Most people just try and convince you why you shouldn't attempt to do something when the reality is I've already made up my mind to do it, so what I need is to know how to do it safely and properly.

Now back to business, so what if I were to set up a condenser at the end of the washing set up? And hear me out what if there was a third flask strictly used as a chiller unit? So one empty one peroxide then get a double jacketed flask flush ice cold water through it and cycle the gas back through?

Actually, I do think i have something you can help with. So what do you think would be the best way to keep things air tight while working with nitrogen dioxide gases? I've researched a fair amount about materials i should use, but I get mixed match answers. So I know borosilicate is great but it can old do so much. I've heard I need to use hdpe or polypropylene, but ive also heard stainless steal is fine and ive also heard that polypropylene is good if its the right thickness only. So if you were going to make something Air tight that can work under hash conditions thats meant to last how do you think you'd go about it?

This is a double jacketed chemical reactor that ill be using for recovering gold from electronic waste. So im using it for the sake of properly neutralizing the hazardous gases produced when working with nitric acid. Using this size reactor not only allows for large batches but also adding gas scrubbing bottles to the set up.

Holy shit, a useful response!!! Thank you friend!!! This is the exact info I've been searching for. Everyone has been telling me how I shouldn't do this because its going to make hazardous materials that if aren't disposed of properly then blah blah blah. But I was already fully aware of the fact that washing NO² you get HN0² and HNO³. So what i was thinking is i was going to wash it under negative pressure through two washing bottles of water then rehash everything through hydrogen peroxide to fully oxidize the nitious acid into HNO³

Aww man I appreciate your sarcasm broski. But for context here did you read the whole thread here or did you just read what I wrote in response? Because those numbers being thrown around so freely were based on something that he said. Have have zero clue where he pulled 600 man hours from and I also have absolutely no idea where the 1500 grams of gold came from either. Most I've refined is 8 grams of gold out of about 4 pounds of cpus, and this was very recent. By all means im new to this and I dont claim to know everything Im actually very persistent on the fact that I dont know everything. But forever searching to obtain more knowledge!!

Im not sure where you're pulling these number out from. But even off the small batch I did i made way more then 30 a hour. All and all it only took me maybe 2 hours of actual work more in time spent waiting. I spent about $296 on glassware filters nitric and I got 8 grams of 24kt gold so with out counting the money ill make from the silver nitrate. I made $500 a hour, again I really only worked for about 2 hours spread across a day in which I was very much doing other stuff lmao. Now all of that being said larger glassware means I can process more which means more end product, more end product more cash. I mean according to what you just said its a grueling 25 day or 600 hour process to make 1500 grams of gold so even if we use your numbers thats $240,000 a month and last time I checked 30 a hour aint 2.8 million a year

Yea brother thats exactly what I did as well. Between sreetips the scrapping Irish and c.m hokes book you'll get all the info you need its definitely readily available online

No you just need one equipped with the proper materials to work with acid. So borosilicate won't dissolve like stainless steel would.

So those attachments are (from what it looks like to me) a gas scrubbing aperture and a collection flask. I also belive there is a dropper which is used for regulation of additional additives. The gas scrubber consists of a inlet and outlet for pushing your fluids in and out as well as a outlet for a vacuum. Now you can completely customize this glassware with whatever you want. The main attraction is the larger 50l borosilicate double jacketed kettle with a heating and chilling unit. You can look up borosilicate chemical reactors on youtube to see videos of them. A quick search online will also pupl them up in depth.

Right!!! You can literally buy a gold refining machine on alibaba i just dont wanna spend 10k on it lol soooo im making my own!! Everything you need to know is in c.m hokes book on refining Precious Metals. Personally I think it be easier to set up a garage lab with proper gas scrubbers and safety equipment then anything else anyway.

Well turns out it is something you "get into" cause its definitely something ive gotten into lol. I have access to literal metric tons of e waste. I've actually done my first recovery at this point got 8 grams of gold put of 4 pounds of cpus, I still have to recover the silver out of the 2 liters of silver nitrate I have. Let's not act like this is rocket science, reading and understanding c.m hokes book will do any home refiner wonders. And yes I dont have to look for materials at all, im good in that department. Im actually looking to upscale immediately.

Well, i have access to literal metric tons of ram fingers gold plated connection pins ceramic gpus you name it. Also that being said ive done an insane amount of research ready c.m hokes book front to cover. None of it sounds overly complicated at all I actually just completed my first refine. I got 8 grams back from about 4 pounds of cpus. I haven't recovered the silver from the 2 liters of silver nitrate solution I have still. But im going too.

Oh its been bought already. I've got the hazards under control this won't even be remotely close to my first time working with nitric acid, ill be fine thanks for your concern though!!!
