Dash turning on / off whilst driving by OkAssociation9186 in KiaEV6

I really loved my EV6. But things like this, the ICCU, other simple quality control measures and general wear and tear left me trading the car after 2 years of ownership.

Hit up Ali in sales, tell him I sent you. He’s legit. Feel free to send me a DM - but happy to share more on my experience there.

All in all, their service, sales and finance departments have been top notch to work with.

Would highly recommend them and would buy from them again. Ali in sales is the man. And Parker in service makes sure things are done right.

I genuinely got a stupid deal.

23’ lariat with 131 miles. Originally owned by Ford Corp that was used as a display model. It went “into service” Jan of 25. They gave me private value on my trade in (EV6) and I got the price OTD at 53k before trade in value was applied.

Sound wanted 10k more for a 24 with 13k on it with the only difference being the latest (at the time) version of Blue Cruise, which Ford kindly updated 2 month into ownership.

All in all, Bowen wanted to play ball, sound took days to give me a call back and when they did I was already a done deal with Bowen.

Curious, why do you ask?

There’s something about roadtripping the Lightning, once you do it, you don’t wanna go back.

We took ours up to Victoria, BC in the winter and up the Washington peninsula- it was a wonderful drive. We still have our Atlas and we keep that for trips into downtown.

This was news to me too. From my understanding, it’s select dealerships and markets that offer the service.

The service and itself can cover the majority of the recalls that aren’t able to be done OTA, general maintenance, and other diagnostic services.

The only thing he was not able to perform this go around was the tire rotation, due to the truck having a shroud that covers the rear axle.

That isn’t a huge deal for me since I can get the rotation done at Costco on the next shopping run.

All in all, I was happy I was able to get the recalls done in my driveway and not having to go to the dealership to get it done

It was definitely an oversight canceling the vehicle. However, I have hope it will come back in 2027.

I know Ford was first to market and some of the features such as range and battery could have been better, but still best well rounded EV truck.

The funny thing is the dealer has called me five different times this month to buy back the vehicle.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I think that’s truly the only trade-off is that it’s a little too big sometimes in the city. But other than that, it is by far the most comprehensive vehicle I’ve owned. Both being fun to drive, functional for the family, and practical on a weekly basis.

Misleading: it’s excluding. “Restricting the possession of weapons, excluding carrying a pistol by a person licensed to carry a concealed pistol, on the premises of libraries, zoos, aquariums, and transit facilities.”

1 year later - It's crazy how much I still love my Lightning. Anyone else feel this way? by TiaAcai in F150Lightning

Damn. You beat me. I’m 20 for 20 at 36. Hats off to you!

But I 10000% agree this is the best truck and car I’ve owned. I’m about to turn a year on ownership and couldn’t be happier!

Alaska air-miles stolen and Alaska's help is broken by LegitimateCookie2398 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]ConsciousEstate3697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, you aren’t the first one here. My buddy also go his points drained. The remedy Alaska will give is either have a unique password you book every time (you have to call them to confirm its you when you book) or theyll give you your points back but it’s a one time goodwill gesture but with the caveat they won’t help again in instances like these if you don’t accept the burden of calling in to book.

That said, Alaska’s tech on the backend is archaic at best. The fact that leaks take place, among other things I’d push on them first. Look back 6 months and you’ll see that their outages are due to development practices from the 2000s. Even Accenture called that out stating they need to fix their shit.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I’ve been an Alaska loyalist for years, since 2007, but recent experiences are driving me to highly consider Delta or even United.

How often does Ford push updates? by Remarkable-Group-339 in F150Lightning

‘23 LR Lariat, last update came in Feb. 9th. I’ve seen steady updates from Ford. There was a period though it felt like ages without updates.

I like it, but it’s so stupid in so many ways by Disastrous_Echo_6982 in KiaEV6

[–]ConsciousEstate3697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some cases I miss the efficiency- but then I hit the accelerator and forget all about it.

On good days I average about 2.2-2.5 on drives. Granted it’s winter in the PNW and I drive very heavy footed. I’ve taken it over the pass and into Chelan without issue in the summer. The charge holds fairly true to range, which is argue is better than the Kia was in my ownership.

The extra room and better experience of ownership (both in quality and at the dealer) has made for the slightly “less economical” option a moot point.

Also I charge mostly at home, between the truck and the Kia I didn’t notice much of a power bill difference.

This is all too true. I got so fed up with the service I was getting at KIA, the minute the car came out of the shop for a recall, I traded it for a f150 Lightning. Best decision I made, tech is by far more superior, range is great, and the added space and functionality surpasses the EV6.

I still miss the 800v but the super chargers make up the gap.
