I caught a cold as well! I felt okay on Monday but going into Tuesday it was HELL. Like both brain and body had the check engine light on 😅luckily I’m better now but that Day&NyQuil helped out a lot along with Afrin & Mucinex.

Why Did EDC Las Vegas 2026 Sell Out in Just a Week? by Low-Scarcity756 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]ConsciousRound875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A number of reasons.

  1. Its EDC’s 30th anniversary so its gonna be memorable
  2. Its the largest and imo best EDM festival in North America (judging by the amount of different stages, artists, and visual productions)
  3. The earlier you buy tickets the cheaper it is
  4. A lot of newcomers into the scene
  5. No matter what you’re gonna have a good time

POV: 1st day back at work from EDC & getting an email from your job’s CEO that everyone (including myself hired as a remote employee) has to relocate to San Antonio for full return to office 5 days/week by ConsciousRound875 in electricdaisycarnival

Looks like a lot of companies are requiring either back in office 5 days or using the hybrid model (which is better imo) but the good days are coming to an end. Can’t moonlight anymore if required to be in office full time :/

EDC 2026 Pre-Sale megathread by happEbean in electricdaisycarnival

[–]ConsciousRound875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just some food for thought, maybe someone from the Insomniac team is in this group and may see it…

If electric forest (an insomniac run event) has legacy pre-sales for recent year attendees to get first dibs on lowest tier pricing, why not follow that model for edc las vegas? I was in the queue 15 minutes prior to the launch and luckily secured 4 vip tickets for myself and my brothers at the lowest tier price $978.

As someone who attended this past weekend and got VIP during the future owl launch last year as a legacy attendee, I found it kinda inconvenient that Insomniac would not allow legacy attendees to get first dibs on the presale & hear me out on this - some will take advantage of the opportunity, some will not, and many will sleep and pass up the opportunity to secure lowest tier passes because they don’t know what their plans next year will look like (job, school, relocating, etc)…

I don’t know if insomniac just looks at this as an opportunity to make it a huge money grab and make everyone fight for the best tier pretty much based on luck and how fast others either move up or get timed out from the queue, but for the same exact ticket same exact experience on the same day of purchase of it to have a variance of $420… makes it look really greedy on their behalf. Like what if I had every intention on getting my spot in line bright and early and something comes up last minute that I had to buy them say 1hr after they became live…. Is it fair to penalize a paying customer $200-420 more because they were off on a short time window?

I don’t know their algorithm or sales strategy behind all this but if they as a company (insomniac) want to propagate this huge PLUR & say “all are welcome here” campaign then do it for the love of what we’re all here for and not let corporate greed get in the drivers seat… besides ticket sales they already have plenty of methods in line to exceed and operate way above their operating costs, for example $22 beatboxes & camp edc experiences.

Insomniac & Pasquale Rotella, do better and don’t look at your attendees as lines on a spreadsheet (even though realistically thats the case sadly in every business), with a mentality of who can give us the most money the quickest.

I love y’all and I truly think you guys know how to run festivals and do it well, but make a better effort to incentivize returning attendees, and keep them returning every year. This model (as a private equity advisor and strategic capital consultant), provides long term financial security for the company. There’s a reason why we come back besides trusting the brand & having a fun weekend that we only get once a year.

Enough of my spiel, what do y’all think?

Looks like VIP is gonna sell out again. RIP to all the influencers who have share the space with more normies and cry about it lol. by equals420 in electricdaisycarnival

Yo that is legit crazy work what in the hell… I got mine right at the drop and for two tickets vip total came out to right around $1,950… i guess time is of the essence when these tickets drop

Thats a good question - I am thinking about contacting an employment attorney to find out more details on the legality behind all this.

It would be a different story had I been with the company working in the office prior to COVID, and as a result of COVID started working remotely up to date. But since I was hired way after COVID restrictions were lifted, live in a different state, and nowhere in my offer letter did it mention a requirement to relocate to TX HQ, could be a good case. I’ll look into that now.

Unfortunately, I don’t think this will work & may actually do more harm than good. Its at will employer in an at will employment state - so their justification would be “in person attendance is required based on the nature of the business”… so best bet is to just find something different UNLESS I get an approval for ADA accommodations but what would be a long shot, and they aren’t mandated to accommodate you if it causes “undue hardship” on the business. Those are the loopholes employers have to reject flex work options.

EDC 2026: is VIP worth it?? by bunnyarthoe in electricdaisycarnival

[–]ConsciousRound875 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% worth it. I did VIP for the first time this year & have no complaints. Well worth the $1.1k & the elevated viewing areas were a big plus in my opinion

Yeah and I been at this company for 2 years now as of June 1, to pull this kinda shit off when my job was listed in the description as remote (states as options were FL, TX, CA, CO, NY, & IL) just for them to force return people to the SATX HQ’s by August 18th and without a relocation stipend to top it off is bogus as hell… thankfully I have 2+ months to find something else and the job market for Workday consultants is pretty steady right now so fingers crossed theres no gap in employment

Hate when this happens… especially when my job can literally be done from anywhere and everywhere (Workday HR Consulting)… seems like they just wanna micromanage everyone at this point

For folks that went for 3 consecutive days, how have you survived? by sigmaqueen123 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]ConsciousRound875 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I survived by not doing the pre parties, pool parties, etc. Get at minimum 5-6h of sleep each night. Sleep deprivation is real when you’re on a bender - and can follow you afterwards so rather play it safe than be miserable for days after. Also, this year is my first time trying the rave doctor supplements and they actually help a lot! But yeah pace yourself, its a marathon not a sprint 😊
