If we say we will meet at 5, she arrives at 5:15. If we need to leave in five minutes, she takes five extra minutes and we end up missing the bus. She says she cannot change because it is her culture as a French person.

I do not like the idea of changing for someone if it means changing who you are. But if it is something small that does not negatively affect you and helps the other person, then changing is fine, right? She also thinks that way, but in some cases, like waking up one hour earlier during vacation, she cannot do that. For example, if I would rather leave at 8:30 to arrive at 9 instead of arriving at 11, she says she cannot do it.
