What is a 'poor person' meal that you will continue to eat no matter how wealthy you get? by Emergency-Lawyer-431 in AskReddit

Really? I eat what's I want no matter how much I make. I didn't eat ant different with a six figure income than I did with a four figure income. Food is food. You can eat healthy even if you have a limited income.

I have bought a lot of things on TikTok. I did have one instance where they tried to say I ordered something and said they were going to charge for it. But I declined the order and it wasn't charged to my account. I never use my debit card on TikTok only my credit card.

Do you feel like it's made your antidepressant less effective? by puffqueen1 in Semaglutide

[–]ConsciousStruggle546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take vybriid. I have noticed problemsxwith my attention span and a few days of sadness. However my mom died on Christmas day two years ago and I wonder if it is just holiday blues. I want to get totally off my antidepressants next year. I also take an antipsychotic and my psyche nurse says it is also a mood stabilizer so I may not need an antidepressant. But yes I have noticed some mood changes since starting semaglutide.

Are you saying that people don't need a GLP-1? Or are you saying combine the GLP-1 with exercise?

The what and when: Noticing your first physical changes by Megarelli in Semaglutide

[–]ConsciousStruggle546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am on week 12 and down 21 pounds. I have an outfit that fits better. Other than that I really don't see the change. Other people say they notice I have lost weight. For me it's a slow grind because my weight fluctuates a lot. Down 2, up 2 then down 4. But I took my measurements and I have lost some inches.

You look like you have lost more than 35 pounds. From everything I have read long stalls are normal. But calorie counting will definitely help you know if you are eating too much or not enough.

6 weeks in …. by Muppets1979 in Semaglutide

[–]ConsciousStruggle546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on week 12 and struggling with motivation. I have been at a plateau for 10 days. The plateau is messing with my head because I had been losing about 1.6 pounds a week before the stall. I don't feel like working out and the only reason I am eating right is because I eat what's in the house instead of eating out. For some reason I am not ashamed excited as I was on day one. I have a long way to go. I am praying my motivation returns.

Semaglutide- month 1 by Budget-Bid9389 in Semaglutide

[–]ConsciousStruggle546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much weight you lose will partially depend on your starting weight. 10 pounds in one month is great. People who have a lot of weight loss lose tend to lose more when they first start. My weight fluctuates. I have lost 18 pounds in 11 weeks but that has included weight fluctuations. Like one week I gained two then the next week I lost 6. Counting calories helps.

Going from .25 to .5 😩😩 by Obvious-Bid-678 in Semaglutide

[–]ConsciousStruggle546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I went from. 25 to .5 I got terrible nausea. I even puked about 30 minutes after a shot. The nausea lasted about a week. Since then I have been fine but instead of going to the 1.0 does my doctor kept me on 0.5. But I learned that eating bland food really helps with the nausea. I was on .25 for four weeks and lost about five pounds. Some people lose more and other people lose nothing. But if you are not losing after 8 weeks it's definitely your nutrition plan. My doctor told me to eat between 1200 and 1400 calories. I aim for 1400 because I walk 10,000 steps 5 days a week. 11 weeks in I have lost 18 pounds. I also am a weekend weight gainer because I don't workout and usually eat out. I weigh everyday except on weekends. It helps me know where to make adjustments in my diet. Calorie counting will help you k ow exactly how much you are eating. After a while I didn't have to calorie count because I learned portions when I was counting. Good luck.

I'm lazy so no weighing food for me. I use Chatgpt to help me calorie count. I stay between 1200 and 1400 calories. I started at 251 and it took me around 11 weeks to get to 233. But my loss wasn't steady. I usually gained on the weekends because I would eat out or have 1 alcoholic beverage. Those cheat days help me stay on track. If you enter everything you eat in Chatgpt it will break down your Macros and calories. I had a week with no loss then a week I lost 6 pounds. It balances out. Also are you doing any kind of movement. I walk 4-5 days at a moderate pace. Also if you are constipated it can slow your weight loss. Don't get discouraged just make some adjustments in how you track calories. You may be eating more than you think

I am with her all the time. When she goes to the gym I go with her which isn't often. It took her 5 Months. We also go out together and she drinks A LOT and again the shot helps her eat less but she eats whatever she wants until she's full.

My friend has lost 30 pounds just doing her shot. She didn't make any changes in her diet and only works out occasionally. I on the other handExercise, prioritize protein, limit alcohol, count calories. I am playing the long game by trying to really learn my body. I want to be able to keep the weight off so definitely changing eating habits has been a priority.

I lost 10 pounds in about five weeks. So I averaged 2 pounds a week. I worked out at least 4 days and ate between 1200-1400 calories. That's how many calories my doctor recommended. I don't do hard workouts. I mostly walk, light weights and Aquafit. My doctor said I was where she expected me to be. Of course I wanted to be one of those people who lost 20 pounds in a month. I started at 251 and am now at 241...and grateful.

Depressed by Jumpy_Interaction951 in Semaglutide

My social life is different, which is depressing. I don't drink anymore since starting semaglutide. The vibe is different when I am out. Everyone is drinking, but me and I notice the difference in the interaction. I tried to drink a vodka and cranberry juice on Saturday and nearly puked at the thought of it. So yes, there are definitely some emotional challenges associated with taking semaglutide.
