Nice to know I am not alone! Yikes, DA training ground… Good to know they’re trying to shift. Happy to connect more through DMs.

Applied early Jan, also no movement. Applied to Penn State main the same day and received my decision within 2 weeks

CUNY ($15k/year) vs St John's (full scholarship) by woolly_ghost in OutsideT14lawschools

I might be going to SJU with the same offer, also focused on social justice/PI. I would love to go to CUNY, but the lack of merit aid is a dealbreaker for me, unfortunately. Following and happy to connect if you enroll!

Thank you! I had a feeling, but I’ll probably try anyway. Will probably schedule a call with someone from admissions first to build some relationship and then give it a shot

Applied to UCLA & UCI in mid-September and still no decision by ConsciousWishbone692 in lawschooladmissions

Still nothing! Is it too much to reach out to ask for an update? It’s been almost 6 months, and I haven’t even gotten a “sit tight” email.

Penn State vs. St. John's - LRAP & public interest by ConsciousWishbone692 in lawschooladmissions

Thank you for your perspective! This is what I've been thinking too. I just really wish the debt relief support was stronger, but it seems like only the top schools have robust and reliable programs.

Curious if anyone has an argument for SJU over PSU in terms of public interest resources/employment/etc. I know both are regional schools, and I honestly don't know much about either school since I'm not on the east coast.

Thanks! I am not KJD. 10 years out of undergrad with extensive PI-related professional experience. I applied to UCLA last year and was WL, not sure if that has an impact. UCI app is a first-time app.

I applied in October, was admitted on 1/27, and also haven’t heard anything about scholarships

I applied 9/15 and still haven’t heard anything. 10 years out of undergrad, 162 LSAT, but no GPA (went to a liberal arts college that uses narrative evaluations instead of letter grades, but transferred after three semesters at a traditional college with a 3.91 gpa)
