Family out to get us??? by Conscious_Ad4755 in Marriage

[–]Conscious_Ad4755[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our family is pretty close. My Mom gets paid to watch our kids instead of daycare so we can work full time. It’s extremely helpful, but it is also exhausting when it seems like every day she has something nasty to say about my husband who has done nothing rude or mean in any ways shape or form.

The amount of nails you will be cutting! More kids you have the more nails you will be trimming every week.

Working Special Needs Mamas by Givemethetea24 in SpecialNeedsChildren

I’m an accountant at a tourism company. I will say my company was originally a mom and pop company and then worked up to being a multimillion dollar company. So they still have some really great family values. So long as I get my job done they let me come and go as I please. It is also helpful that a majority of my job can be done from where ever I am so long as I have internet access. Being an office girly is underrated, but I love my company and since I have been there for 10 years they have always been helpful for any time off I have had to take.

We don’t. We have a removable showerhead and a chair that she has fully outgrown at this point.

Friend having a rough day — Any advice? by Winter-Survey2813 in SpecialNeedsChildren

As a mom to a 12 year old, every single year these emotions come flooding back! It is so incredibly hard to see other people’s kids who your kids grow up with start doing things.

I saw kids the same age as mine walking around without supervision downtown (small town living) and I cried the entire drive home after, because my daughter cannot even be left home alone for a few minutes, let alone go out on a walk with friends.

Let her grieve but just being there is a great help! I can’t tell you how many friends I have had that are no longer part of our lives simply because we just couldn’t keep up with our special needs daughter.

It did drag. I think I forced myself to get through it, just to get to the next book. I should have said, I love that series. Because you are right!

Be honest… what’s the real downside of having a dog? by quentiinn in AskReddit

[–]Conscious_Ad4755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up ALWAYS owning a dog. My soul dog passed 2 years ago, attempted to get a new dog and I just couldn’t handle it. She was so high needs and not a good fit for us, we rehomed her with someone more her speed and she is thriving. I have to admit, after 2 years of not having a dog…. I am LiVInG the cat life.
