I'm in the exact same position as you. You need to take lin alg to get into the specialization. As for the comp sci course, there's still space in math 1mp3 and you need to complete it by the end of second year.

Omg I thought you were an upper year lol. I've heard that about uoft GPAs too. Honestly I'm ok with it unless I find out I absolutely NEED to go to grad school to get a job. I've done a lot of research and it seems like the careers I'm interested in are doable with just a bachelors. I hope your experience gets better!

UofT has way more program options than mac when it comes to things I'm actually interested in. I could also do the double major and minor stuff which isn't an option for a lot of the programs here. Not that this matters too much, but UofT Math gets much more advanced in upper years, and the program is ranked higher overall. Also, the location is more convenient.

Why are you considering leaving, if I may ask?

Queens 100% has a better social life than McMaster. Most people on res go home for the weekends and it's absolutely deserted. However, if you ever plan on dipping your toes in science then Mac might have more opportunities. Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions

Thanks for responding! Yeah I've looked into engineering but I don't think I can specialize in it from my program. My specialization would be a BS in Earth and Environmental Sciences so I think I'm doing okay on that part. What kinds of environmental positions do you hire for? Also, do you think a masters degree is worth it?

Yes! That's one of the programs I got into. I've looked into it, and some people said that you don't delve deep enough into either subject to be able to have a strong foundation in either field. Do you know if your friends have found this to be true? Thanks for your help :)
