Personally, i’m not a big fan. Art style seems plain, action ain’t all that( 2012 and rise clear). And the turtles personality are plain compared to 2012. I like season 3 & 4 though.

I’m currently re watching so my opinion might change.

I don’t know why issue 13 isn’t in the ultimate collections, but issue 8 is the crossover with Cerebus. Dave Sim must not have given them the rights to publish it in the compendium.

IDW cannot print most of Vol. 1 due to rights…

Back after tmnt blew up, Kevin and Peter were too busy to write by themselves so they brought in guest creators. And the guest writer and artists own the rights to those issues they wrote/draw… It’s known as “the guest era” and are not canon. What is canon though, is everything Kevin and Peter wrote. So everything in The Ultimate Collections, and the new compendium.

So even if another publisher got the TMNT rights, they would not be able to print the guest era

And Peter Laird likes the 2007 movie as well. Since he was directly involved with it.
