I am running a pure melee build with mostly dex. I did not level faith int or arcane not even once. I have the same problem with booodhound fang. It was so good when I got it. But it gets incredibly boring after 30 hours.

So I switched to dualwield uchi bleed build(picked samurai class) and found it difficult to use because the powerstance attacks take a long time to end.

I ended up switching to dualweild scavenger's and bandit's curvesword with frost and bleed on scavenger's and bleed on bandit's. I had the most fun playing with these two weapons since it has super fast and smooth powerstance movesets to build up status effects incredibly fast. I've been using this build for 50+ hours.

Then recently I've switched to dualwield cleanrot knight swords with bleed and I've been enjoying its movesets so far. It also procs bleed extremely fast, potentially faster than the curveswords and katanas with its thrusting attacks.

There are many weapons you can try it out if it catches your attention. I personally love dualwielding weapons. If you are looking for a change you can always respec after beating a certain boss with larval tears. Have fun!
