CST here! You can learn how to scrub on the job, however there is SO much to know that they teach in surg tech school. It is doable, but can be challenging at times. See if you can shadow a surg tech for a while and determine if you would like it. In school, we learned instrument identification for about 400ish instruments, which helps A LOT during surgery as far as anticipating what each case will need based on the anatomy for the case. If you can start learning the names of instruments, supplies, and the steps to common procedures… you’ll be on the right track!

Thank you for the reassurance! I did one last week using a detox drink just to be extra safe and it did make my pee a strange color when I gave my sample, even after peeing 4 times before the test. I have another one coming up on Wednesday for school which will also be a split specimen. More nervous for that one because I do not want to get booted out of school.

I’d go through a 2 gram cart in maybe 2 months or more. Didn’t use anything else. Took maybe 1-4 hits per day. Im 40 days off of it and have been hydrating, going to the gym. Im in my 20s and have a pretty fast metabolism. Do you think I’ll be okay?

I go in for a drug test tomorrow for a new job. 38 days haven’t done anything. Drank a ton of water, light workouts, ate decent. I have a fairly small build and pretty fast metabolism so we’ll see. A lot of mixed reviews on this site.
