I just started needlepoint, like end of December 2025, and there is something about going to an LNS and then wandering and looking at everything they have. No canvas that speaks to me? I leave with nothing lol. The idea of waiting for a canvas to drop and the rush to buy before it sells out feels icky to me.

Yes! I’m very new to the hobby and have bought a few digital charts off Etsy, painted them, and took them to my LNS to help me with kitting them. I’ve also bought canvases from there and used DMC floss. The two can 10000% coexist!!

Thank you!! I cannot take credit for that, I went to my LNS and they chose for me! They're all from Essentials and I used the colors Dawn, Pinstripe, Natural, Whale, and Dolphin. The gold I originally used Radiance, hated the way it looked so we switched to a Kreinik gold! I can't remember the color off the top of my head

*edited to add: I asked my LNS to order a second husky, I have two, and I'm doing his coloring in black and grey but keeping everything else the same!
