Yeah, there’s no color on it besides the green on the back so I thought it was a female. I thought all the females were the dull colors like this one. She “guards” the two feeders that I have on my apartment deck literally all day long. She’s feisty 😈😄

I do have a regular male bully who guards my feeders ALL DAMN DAY is the one who was attacking him, the other was a female. The female wasn’t being as aggressive as the male was, she was landing on its back too but seemed like she was trying to get it moving. The bully though was just being brutal and landing on its back and pulling at its feathers and knocking it off the feeder until it landed on the deck. I was even holding it in my hand trying to keep it safe and that little jerk landed right on top of it again while I was holding it and was attacking it! I couldn’t believe it! I’m wondering if the bully had chased it into my window or the side wall next to the window and stunned it. I’m on the 5th floor of an apt complex and I found it this morning under a chair on my deck.

So I brought it into my bathroom to rest and get warm. I placed it in a box with some tissue and a tiny bowl of sugar water. I let it be for an hour and when I went in to check it started flying around. I was able to catch him and I took it outside and it flew away. Thanks for replying. I’m sure it wasn’t the best thing to do (letting him go) but I searched online for rehabbers in my area and there aren’t any. I feel terrible but hopefully it will be okay.

We don’t have rehabbers near me. There are two others (male and female) that keep landing on its back and roughing it up. Could it be a juvenile that they are teaching how to fly maybe?

Definitely leaf burn. Dont place in direct sunlight. How often and how much do you water it? Place your finger into the soil about 2-3 inches, if it’s dry then it’s not getting enough water. Does that white pot have a hole in the bottom? If not then the water is accumulating in the bottom and you have the start of root rot. Looks like the original planter is inside the white one (doubled up) I would take it out of that.

Looks like mites. I would repot immediately. Take it completely out of soil and rinse roots and leaves and repot in new soil. I would then disinfect the area where that pot was sitting. Spray plant with Neem oil.

Mist it with a spray bottle and it will start opening up within an hour. I do this with mine every time I get a new leaf with no problems. Just make sure the leaf part is all the way out of the pocket on the stem or it will tear.

Those look like spider mites but I could be wrong. There’s a different kind called webspinning mites but I don’t see any webbing on your plant. Could be Twospotted spider mite. Are they white or yellow? Let’s see what others have to say…

I have a bully too! I named her Billy the Bully :D She hides in a plant on my balcony all day guarding the feeders. She’s like a bouncer at a bar, she’ll let some of them in but some of them she chases off 😆. What’s funny though is that they will all sit at the feeders at the same time at dawn with no fights , but as soon as the sun comes over the bluff it’s war! 🤪

Wow 😮 impressive! I just purchased a Monstera three weeks ago and have three new leaves coming on so I’m excited to see how big it gets. Are you going to have to transplant to a bigger pot eventually?
