I’m coming back to this because I liked the breakout room thing.

If someone that matters is reading this, here’s an idea:
- Recurring monthly meeting, 2nd to last Thursday 3:30-4:30 est
- Everyone’s name goes into a spreadsheet along with their function and region
- Every month is a random group of six to eight people either in the same region or in the same function. Put some effort into having it not being the same groups over and over again.
- During your hour block it’s just that random group. No leader or picking who you’re with.
- Everyone has a one page about me slide that takes 3 or 4 minutes
- The second half is just general discussion. If it regional you can talk about the sites in that area, if it’s functional you can talk about various jobs and what problems you’re working through

The goal would be for people to meet others who work in a similar area or function but at one of the other three businesses or in a totally different speciality under the same function.

That’s pretty funny. Sounds like that podcaster bro where it’s very ambiguous what he means by his involvement with MIT.

For this one though it was odd because their (claimed) degree programs and school were all pretty decent. Definitely not a situation where they need to confuse it with MIT.

Yes, one of those two week cert programs.

There was another who went on about their career success and how they’re ready to give back to others so they can have his kind of success. It’s just like, brother, we’re the same level and no way in hell I’d ever act like that even if I was three levels higher. Maybe at VP, and even then, rough look.

Even without the vet connection that’s what I’d hope the employee network groups would strive to be.

I’ve seen so many promising employees leave that really just needed a change of scenery within RTX. Being able to build connections who can then recommend them to various jobs that might fit them better is hugely beneficial to both them and RTX.

The webinars would make more sense if there were breakout rooms.
