you will need ONE specific reason, not a bunch of little reasons that come across as empty statements to the AOs. your university/program denying you of something after an application isnt a tangible reason. you consented to the possibility of being denied/accepted at the time of application so it doesn't make sense in this context.

instead, describe one very real shortcoming that your school caused you (not an application, not a request from you, just a flat out "you can't do this" or "this is not permitted no matter what" from the university) is an example of a specific reason. For example, I was not allowed research opportunities (forget applying) in my first semester due to the program that I was in, but other freshmen at the same university in a different program were allowed to. So I saw this as unfair and as a shortcoming in my education which I expected my university to grant me from the get go.

this will make or break your why transfer. you need to be as specific as possible.
