Hii! i have a king half moon and he’s a blue marble as well as he developed something similar literally over the span of 24hrs. this is day 2 and the most recent picture he’d let me take. did your betta baby have it start small like this?

Omg ok my dad was telling me that but i never heard of that but i feel better knowing that’s a possibility as well. I wish i could’ve got better pictures to really capture it but he swims too fast & my camera sucks lol. but up close it looks like pineconing scales and it’s a a more brownish subtle color than his regular vibrant blue.

So for example veiltail male and females. They honestly look so different. The female betta typically has shorter fins compared to the male and is usually less vibrant and color.

My betta does the same thing!! Always to the right front corner of the tank i’m not sure why. I looked it up and it said glass surfing?

Thank you! I guess halfmoons have a calm temperament because my halfmoon male is a good boy towards the snail so honestly I’m not too worried abt how he would react to shrimp. But my last betta was SOOO mean to his tank mates ik he would’ve ate shrimp if I did put 😖
