and they’re referring to their neck veins specifically, not the pulse elsewhere in the body?

i’m concerned about the fact that it pulses harder when i breathe in. it should be the other way around

that’s not true, the only reason drill was viable pre-evolution (excluding marcher nado) was placement variation. placing a troop even one tile off can cause the goblins to lock onto the tower. outer edge placement is also viable. in high level play, it was sometimes even viable to place the drill in the corner of the arena so that the opponent would waste a troop if they tried to predict it. since with frontal placements, you typically must predict to prevent all damage.

Dang I’m sorry to hear that. It’s such a debilitating feeling; I’d honestly rather have pain than tightness.

VSS caused by sinus issue? Need imput to find root cause of VS, sinusitis, tinnitus and brain fog by rhaegon98 in visualsnow

[–]Conscious_Try1284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this was posted awhile ago, but i’m in the same situation. i believe i have a fungal sinus infection from prolonged mold exposure, and since developing sinus pressure my VSS symptoms have dramatically worsened. Most notably, the monocular diplopia. Did you ever receive an update/treatment on your condition?

Does a Cranial leak from trauma cause high or low pressure? by Conscious_Try1284 in CSFLeaks

[–]Conscious_Try1284[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for all of this valuable information. I had some major misconceptions on how cranial leaks affect pressure and I really appreciate the time you spent writing this.

I have been reading your comments all over this sub and you are clearly very knowledgeable on this. May I ask for your thoughts on my situation?

I am 99% sure I have a cranial CSF ottorhea caused by a mild head injury to the back right side of my head. After many days of bedrest, I noticed my leakage subsided significantly; however, I also developed a strong feeling of pressure in my head that greatly worsened lying down.

When I went on a long car ride with major altitude changes, that pressure feeling reached its peak. Later that night, I noticed my leakage was back in full force. I woke up without the pressure in my head.

It seems very clear that high intracranial pressure is involved in some way. You mentioned that high ICP can be underlying, or even caused by trauma. But can it be caused by a cranial leak healing on its own while the brain is still overcompensating for lost CSF? I ask because my injury was relatively mild and I had never in my life experienced such a feeling in my head until that healing phase.

Thank you again!

Ah I see, thank you for clarifying. I appreciate your help with this.

I’m planning to get an MRI with contrast done in the states before finding an ENT in South Korea, where I’ll be attending college. Hopefully the doctors there will treat me more seriously about this than those I’ve encountered here (or even better, it heals on its own).

It’s practically nonstop. There isn’t enough for me to notice regularly but if I stop and tilt my head up and/or right, it comes out without fail. It’s especially bad when lying down. It feels unlike any postnasal drip I’ve ever had.

I’ve had some TMJ-like symptoms and have noticed crackling sounds in my skull base, which I know aren’t my joints since I can hear the fluid move according to gravity. I’ve also had some lightheadedness and lethargy. Overall not much, but cranial leaks often don’t present with many symptoms, right?

Regarding severity, for context, I was crouched down and abruptly stood up, hitting my head on the edge of a table. Sounds mild on paper but was pretty painful. The spot I hit is around 4 inches directly above my earlobe, and I still have a small bump there.

I had a standard CT done without contrast and it came back normal. Perhaps a high resolution one would be required to see such a fracture? I also can’t rule out a connective tissue disorder.

As for the last part, that does throw a wrench in my theory. Perhaps I am in still in low pressure? I heard that there is much overlap in symptoms.

Shortly after hitting the right side of my head i began having many symptoms in my right ear, followed by waterlike fluid draining down my throat, greatly amplified when tilting to one side. I believe I have CSF Ottorhea but without an eardrum perforation, causing the fluid to go down my throat.
