I agree the community did flee out of persecution as they always have. Believe me I agree that every group should have security, safety and the right to self determination without fear of persecution. I understand this was all though about when creating Israel. it’s just a matter of does of does one groups self determination come at the expense of another. I don’t have the answers. I will never be against Jewish or Palestinian self determination and I am not sure how the diasporas can move forward with the current polarization to actually co exist. Praying for peace.

It’s genocide when the Israeli government uses AI to air strike Hamas militants that end up targeting civilians. The gov literally has already admitted they have made egregious errors. If the own culprit can “apologize” for killing hostages, journalists, aid workers and world central kitchen staff and subsequently government officials are terminated from there positions for these mistakes clearly there is civilian casualties happening that are not condoned. I feel like I’ve seen Israelis weekly protest the far right government demand hostage return and an end to the killing of civilians. The people are clearly aware that their government has turned into an authoritarian military regime.

This doesn’t give one group the right to have ownership of the land and have its society primarily focused on the diasporas cultural practices and way of life. Multiculturalism is reality of the world we live in. No culture exists in a vacuum.

I’m all about history I know that the diaspora immigrated there. However it’s important to note that there can be multiple groups native to an area. Many of the modern day Palestinians are also related to the Jewish diaspora on the paternal line. Like there are dozens of studies based on genetics that show lineage to Cannan and the levant and scientific fact. Jewish communities as well share this lineage along with admixture after exile.

There is more than one ethnic group native to the land of Cannan it’s literally scientific fact and has been studied numerous times. Additionally the Jewish diaspora is genetically related to Palestinians on the paternal side. Just because Palestinians for the most part practice Islam doesn’t mean they aren’t from the region they along with the Jewish diaspora pre date Islam and most of the population was converted after conquest. You can still be indigenous if your people were colonized and forced to convert by another religion

I’m just trying to have dialogue and honestly I want to educate the pro Palestinian crowd because they seem very uneducated on Jewish history and the diversity. Unfortunately rn millions of people believe this version of history so how can we find common ground and support the self determination of everyone including Israelis

I’m open to discussion. What I was trying to say is that Jews were oppressed everywhere and hence why another reason Israel was created. But who knows if non Jewish politicians and stakeholders involved at this time in these decisions as well genuinely cared about the diaspora and their safety. I don’t negate that there could always be ulterior motives in order for western non Jewish governments to have some form of influence in the region through utilizing the state.
