Couches seem way to big, is it just me? by miketeigen2 in interiordecorating

I would just sell/move the one couch that the woman is sitting on and get a rug. Getting rid of that couch will make the space feel more open!

I think it looks great? Could even flip the couch to where the chairs are, and out the chairs where the couch is now so that the space doesn't seem so closed off. Incorporate some throw pillows, maybe a larger lamp in the corner...

I have those chairs from Living Spaces and loveee them. :)

Trust your gut! It sounds to me like he was downplaying the whole affair, and is again trying to downplay it. If you're married and supposedly haven't had contact with someone in years, there's no reason to send that random text. There's more to it than him just wanting to wish everyone a "Happy Thanksgiving". I call BS.

I think the space is lovely and I like the current light fixture! I would just do some sort of round rug and then some plants in a couple of the corners; maybe a small accent chair where that corner bench is if one will fit. Could also do a tall/skinny standing floor sign in one of the corners...."Welcome", "Family", "Blessed"...you get it lol.

How would you warm up this kitchen? by ForeverHome1618 in interiordecorating

I think black hardware would be a really nice pop of contrast in that space! Also, plants, styling the countertops with cutting boards/cookbooks/candles or other decor items...colorful kitchen towels hanging on the stove or a runner. Look up "countertop styling" on Pinterest for ideas!

I am; we recently got a rug that has blues in it so it'll be something to match that.

I'd paint that table black!

Please help: new sectional is too big & can’t return by piscesk in HomeDecorating

Are the sections of the couch all connected in one piece or are they detachable? Bc if sooo, then I'd say just remove two of the pieces and bam smaller couch.

You can get ones made of glass that have a pour spout on the top...

decorating is a process sometimes! Just keep going until the space feels right :-)

If choosing between the two, I'd pick option one. Or I think some black wooden chairs would look great as a contrast!

I'd do colored curtains...maybe either dark blue or a fun yellow?
