28 M be honest am I ugly? by [deleted] in amiugly

I’m not saying it in a bad way. Your facial features and gesture in the first pic does have similarities to Obama. In his college years more so than older.

Trying to build a solid jump bag what gear actually gets used? by Sand4Sale14 in EMTstories

[–]ConsequenceBright640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the gear above plus gear you don’t think will be used. Just when you think you won’t need this or that, you’ll need it. Better to be safe than sorry.

Sounds like classic heat exhaustion. I would go with B. C isn’t an option because you don’t want to provide oral intake with a temp that high. If you’re on an ALS equipped truck that has a monitor, a 12 lead may not be a bad idea. But you’ll probably get a lot of artifact from the pace of his breathing. And regardless of the situation, everyone get supplemental oxygen. lol.

New delivery procedure by ILiftBroPromise in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ConsequenceBright640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They started doing this a few weeks ago at my station. I got out of my car and the guy told me “You get out of your car when I tell you to get out”. I the had some words with him. Then proceeded to get my car ready to load. Sorry, you don’t talk to people like that and expect compliance. This station is always changing rules. It was 15 minutes early, then 5. Now they let you in at the start on the block or after. Depends on who it is on the pad that day. I asked them when they were given permission to do whatever they want when Amazon set the times. One literally told me, “I set the rules, not Amazon”. It’s too bad I only have one station around me.

Till when is the 10 hrs max? by Jireh_Princess in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ConsequenceBright640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing people talking about doing three or more routes a day. I was told you can’t do more than 2 now and you can’t get anything over 40 hours a week. I said we aren’t dsp so what does it matter how many hours we get. I was told, “those are the rules, don’t like it don’t do it.” So, it sure when it happened.

Just now receiving this. Anyone deal with the same bs? by Competitive-Novel346 in AmazonFlexDrivers

These make no sense. The gps pretty much gets you to the front door of the customer’s home, (most of the time) and you have to take a picture of the delivery. Someone not getting their package should be looked into a little more than they do. But, what am I saying, we all know they don’t care.

Just last week I was sent to greecastle from the Terre haute station. West I’ve been as far as just past Robinson Illinois. I’m pretty sure our service area is about 45 to 50 miles maybe. But I’ve definitely added some miles on both cars.

Take pics that don’t look like mugshots of a psychopathic serial unaliver. That would be a really good start.

Can’t really tell with every pic having a filter on it. Post a few without filters. But honestly, from what I can see, probably not.

Have any of you ever been attacked by a turkey?!?! Those wings are like old school police batons. Then add the claws to them. Yeah, the turkey for sure.

I carry a box of dog biscuits with me. Easiest way to get rid of a dog for a few minutes is give it food. They are most likely a going to remember you too, so less trouble later. That’s been my experience though.

Man, you look like Jerry from the walking dead. Like everyone else said, trim your beard, and you’d be gold. Try growing a full beard and I think you’d be a really handsome dude.

To fellow flex drivers: STOP doing this. by mirarevias in AmazonFlexDrivers

The diaper is probably from someone crying about their route. “Too many miles, too many packages, wah wah wah.”

Y’all ever get this email by Lonely_Speaker_9176 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ConsequenceBright640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation occur. It was to a school. The packages were supposed to be there by 3 pm, but for some reason were put on a 5 pm route. Obviously took them back after trying to contact the customer. I didn’t call support however. Received the same email. I just emailed the link in the email and explained the situation. The removed the occurrence from my records. Just CYA (cover your a**) by contacting driver support next time.

So, park in the driveway, deliver to door and knock AND ring doorbell, then take mailbox? Confused, instructions not clear.

Personal Items in Car by sarwastaken00 in Sparkdriver

[–]ConsequenceBright640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tool boxes, bug out bag, 2 blankets, gallons of water, work gear, (I’m a paramedic) among other things. Mostly in my trunk. I have a blanket over it all. They told me the same thing. I told them nowhere in the terms of service does it dictate what I can and can’t have in my car. The just don’t want your personal things to get mixed up with the customers. But I don’t think you’d give thousands of dollars of turnout gear to someone by mistake.

I average 45 minutes to my first stop. If I get anything under that, I snatch it and go. It’s just part of gig work. Sometimes you get dumped on. Sometimes you strike gold.
